Neither. I think it was easy to mass mobilize against it the first time because it was one of the first batshit, norm-breaking things he did. Here we are 8 years later and we're in the middle of dealing with the 118th batshit norm-breaking thing this MONTH, and we're just trying to keep up.

I mean I got used to Republicans being disingenuous, stubbornly incorrect or just flat out lying a long time ago. But these guys…they’re just absolute fuckwits

I'm hoping and praying that federal judges do the same with dismantling our national parks.

I don't understand why these judges are using words like "likely." Laws are...written down, yes? Who better than a judge to look at the language of the law and make a determination outright?

And they're too dumb and racist to realize that the in the undocumented, THEY ALREADY HAD THAT.

It’s been that way since Bush. Rs will call it a “smear” when you quote their people verbatim. They’ve always been whiny pussies, but the rate has grown exponentially by the time we got to Trump

Eyepatch McCain (R's nickname for him, not mine) wants to be back in good graces SOOOO bad. He's Stacy from Wayne's World and they all already have 50 gun racks...

Not watching either, but I feel a deep sense of foreboding about it. Like they're going to pull a "shock & awe" stunt beyond just him prattling. Hope I am wrong

I have a very bad feeling about it I can't quite pin down. Like they're going to do something beyond just Trump yapping tonight. Something shocking and dark to hammer it home.
Hope I am wrong.

Every time I see her my first thought is "no one has ever observed George Santos and this sea hag in the same place."

The thing that makes me the most hopeless is that what you just said - while accurate - is verbatim what Trumpers all believe and repeat about any Democrat, ever, without evidence. It's what they are told by the media outlets they choose and they buy it all.
It's hard to imagine how we combat that.

I think it's pretty obvious at this point they aren't planning on a 2026, let alone a 2028. If we have one at all, Phony Stark's grubby little hands will be all over it.

Jeffries is on a book tour right now. A FUCKING BOOK TOUR.
It's like that scene in Casino where Rothstein says he can't trust a bad employee because he's either too incompetent to prevent obvious gaming of the machines or he's in on the heist.

Same. Hakeem Jeffries is like a Teddy Ruxpin loaded with focus-tested boilerplate. Just no charisma or leadership. But he's Nancy Pelosi's guy, so he got the gig.
If we EVER get out of this mess, the way leaders are chosen in the party needs a complete overhaul. Fuck seniority.

It was. And if he keeps it up, Patel's FBI will bring him up on bullshit corruption charges within a month. Ditto AOC and Jasmine Crockett. There is no one left to tell them they can't.
