Firing all of the JAGs (Judge Advocates General)—the top lawyers in each service branch—is just as bad as, if not worse than, firing (most of) the Joint Chiefs.

Terminated while working a fire: “I was actually down helping fill in engine crew for some prescribed fire down in Louisiana when I was terminated. I got a call from our Forest Supervisor. He told me I was terminated effective immediately. So I asked ‘great, how are you getting me home?’”

A defining policy battle is about to come to a head in this country. The Republican budget will force everyone - especially Congress and the White House - to make plain whether they are prepared to harm the rest of us in order to fund tax cuts for the wealthiest.

I've always thought about this quote a lot, but I'm thinking about it several times a day now. The evidence of the ongoing bamboozle is plainly obvious, but the voters can't admit it.

Pleased to come across this Junonia orithya (Blue pansy) on a recent walk with the dogs. The colourful dry season (winter, for me) form. Winter finished a couple of days ago so more butterflies coming. #butterflies #insects #nature #MacroPhotography

Liberals in 2023 won a 4-3 majority over conservatives on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. But control of the court is on the line once more because a longtime liberal justice, Ann Walsh Bradley, is retiring this year. The election is on April 1. boltsmag.org/wiscons...

Turkey was not always an autocracy. It had a democracy. It still has elections. But its real democracy has gone away through shock and awe. It can happen everywhere if you're not vigilant and have shared agreement in the democratic project. One day it's just....gone.

I just got the 5 calls app and highly recommend it- it shows you topics, gives you names, phone numbers & scripts, very detailed and organized. I’ll be making some calls about a number of issues! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

NEW: One of Trump’s most damaging strikes against U.S. climate policy is buried in an executive order that would obliterate a critically important calculation the government uses to gauge the real-world costs that climate change imposes on the economy. By @abrahm.bsky.social

I was at a punk show in 83 where a skinhead jumped up on stage and gave a Nazi salute. The bass player hit him with his bass, knocking him into the crowd and 150 people collectively hauled his ass out of the venue and threw him in the mud. This was the right and only appropriate response.
