It might have been the Massacre Guys. They opened for the Dead Kennedys as I recall. The venue was the Indian (cultural) Center. Lots of great bands came through, TSOL, Black Flag, Hüsker Dü, etc... Local bands filled in or sometimes opened for the bands on tour.
