Rebecca Solnit went directly to Ghost when she started a newsletter recently. Hopefully more folks will migrate. Here’s her most recent post, btw: www.meditationsinanemergency.com/wreckage-a-r...

I can’t stop thinking of how, before the election, NPR interviewed Palestinian-Americans in the Midwest voting for Trump because they (mistakenly) thought he'd have to be a change for the better given the arming & bombing under Biden’s watch. Obviously it wasn’t going to go as they hoped, but JFC.

Glad you're here, Zawn! I’m a Patreon & Substack reader, admirer & supporter of all your work. It seems like a great alternative to the dumpster fire that X has become, while also not being under the Meta umbrella like Threads…Feeling hopeful for it being a safe & worthwhile online space 🌈

Yes, hopeful that this platform can be like early days Twitter, & hope it can build in better protections from bots, disinformation campaigns, and generally being a nightmare of a hostile, unsafe mess like [former-Twitter] sadly has been allowed to become, to all of our civic disadvantage.
