Wow. #HandsOff rally in St. Paul, Minnesota is massive!

Wow. St. Paul (where I spent so much time!)

Lake George. What a place to write! I might never come home ❤️

Trump’s 'climate' purge deleted a new extreme weather risk tool originally developed by the US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for local planners to identify the future risk of extreme weather events the US. The Guardian has recreated the future climate risk index as a free tool.

On the banks of Lake George writing my book. On the final chapter. Apparently these are "Horse tail clouds" (tempted to write "hoarse tale" bc it seems fitting...) Isn't it beautiful here?!

Hello friends - I wrote about why it’s so hard to clean/tidy when you have ADHD. And why folks need to judge those with messy homes less. www.kidspot.com.au/parenting/tw...

Hey @missrobinson.bsky.social - I want to DM you. What's the best way to contact you? Thx. GG

Haven't been publishing too much journalism lately...bc I've been working on my book. But I did write this piece about why women who regret having kids ARE NOT narcissists 👇 www.kidspot.com.au/parenting/xx...

For yrs I’ve been saying free speech absolutism is a type of extremism. Ironically it’s ONLY really about protecting the speech of those who peddle hate. For everyone else, we can shut up. ‘Words Federal Agencies Are Discouraged From Using Under Trump’ www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

isn’t amazing that the free speech absolutists are the most fragile about speech of all? They’re only interested in their own freedom to peddle hate…not the freedom of others to reply.

Honestly all these folks harping about quitting drinking and sugar and gluten...doesn't it make you just want to gorge yourself on that stuff? Love to know why it's so important for everyone to tell others not only what to do, but to do it LIKE THEM. Shhhhhhh. Live & let live.

I’ll give it a shot.

Hi @stephenking.bsky.social Thanks for your book about writing. I was paralyzed by some family, health and financial issues and I just couldn’t get my second book done. Listened to your book for the second time 🔥 Especially love the bit about outrunning self-doubt. I’m at 92k words now.

Here are some nice mushrooms

Overheard: The Tesla Chainsaw Massacre.

What could possibly go wrong? 🤯

Most of the 80,000 federal workers responsible for researching diseases, inspecting food and administering Medicare have been offered $25,000 to quit.

President Trump is preparing to sign an executive order to dismantle the Department of Education.

Just got an email from the Fulbright Association. As of right now, funding has been cut off to 12,500 US citizens currently abroad and and more than 7,400 foreigner scholars and students in the United States

A friend included this anti-acknowledgement section on her PhD thesis. She also added the proposition: “Systematic bullying and undermining of girls and women in STEM starts early on and is the reason why they do not stay in science and related fields.” Absurd we still need to go through this 🧪👩‍🔬

In movies, a superhero arrives around now. In the absence of that happening, I am willing to coordinate a global army of middle aged women to sort everything out. We have a lot of rage. And also combat trousers from the 90s.

american masculinity is so amazing. caring about clothes as a man apparently makes you "gay" but our position on geopolitics totally depends on whether you wear a suit

Today I paid $500 for my next ADHD psychiatrist’s appointment and interim script. This is a lot of money for me. And I’m wondering how folks afford this? So many people must be going without meds and care…

Skywhale mama and papa ❤️

Skywhale mama and papa launching in Goulburn this morning.

This article is written in a way that's really irresponsible and doesn't fully grasp the issues at stake. "Snooping" in your kid's phone isn't just about privacy. It's about the grave harms offered up by an unfiltered internet which turns kids into prey. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-02...

There’s this man crashed out and snoring so loudly in a chair in the silent reading room. On the one hand, good on him for having a nap. On the other hand IT’S SO LOUD. I’m trying to write. #firstworldproblems

And just like that, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau homepage, consumerfinance.gov, is being erased. As of January 30, 2025, CFPB enforcement actions resulted in $19.7 billion in consumer relief.
