Good brisket doesn’t suck. There’s enough people out there doing bad brisket and they need to stop.

Those funds and international money have nothing to do with each other.

I still stand by this. The Cubs should’ve called Mervis up at the end of 2022. That way he could’ve gotten a taste and maybe failed, allowed for adjustments going into 2023 without having to waste money on Hosmer signings. Oh well.

Yeah I was about to say that site is nothing but bots.

I think we need the pitch doctor, Brendan Miller to display some charts and tell us why it’s a good idea(or not).

I could live with Cam Smith more than Matt Shaw however if it were to happen.
comment in response to post
I agree but trading Matt Shaw or Cam Smith would be a foolish decision. Astros know how desperate Jed is.

Wonder what kind of package they would demand. If such a trade were to happen, he would need to be extended or else what’s the point of such a trade.

Golden at bat but instead it’s the coach. That’s right bring back player coaches.

It’s the New York Post. They are often wrong!

Seiya isn’t being shopped. When are we going to stop taking the New York Post seriously?

The real question is who are the White Sox’s wanting from the Mariners/Cubs.

Pitching market is crazy.

Heard hoping Hearn can keep up the progression. What about Opitz?

Feels like Nico’s value just skyrocketed because of Edmans contract.
comment in response to post
If Tommy Edman gets a contract like that, I gotta assume Nico’s contract/value just went through the roof.

I feel seeing the market set by Snell, and what Kikuchi got yesterday, this pitching market is about to be INSANE.

Owen Caissie, please be the next Cub to hit 40 home runs in Wrigley.

By trading for a SP in the Mariners rotation, and signing Walker Buehler. Right??? Right????

Jordan Montgomery worked with Tyler Zombro. Cubs hired him and are actively shopping Cody Bellinger and seeing as he’s from Arizona, is there a reality where the Cubs do a 1 for 1 swap with the Diamondbacks? Makes sense. Cubs are looking for pitching and Montgomery is a bounce back candidate.

I think it’s totally necessary to talk about the downfall of Twitter/X and BlueSky becomes the new spot.

At this point, it’s all about Caleb Williams and rookies like Odunze to develop. The more games we lose the better as Eberflus will be out the door and we can have a better draft position. Team needs O line help and honestly help on defense too.

I spoke too early.

I can’t imagine Long needs much more time in AA. Figure he would be in Iowa already if the position wasn’t blocked.

Now imagine this list if Jake Slaughter came back to the org.

Give me two acquisitions for the rotation. Nate Evoldi and Walker Buehler, move Assad to the bullpen as long relief.
comment in response to post
I just hope we get to see him utilized but more importantly healthy.

Here I am wishing they kept Davis. Ugh

Really surprised I don’t hear more Jorge Polanco rumors as a LH off of the bench for the Cubs. I know he had a down year with Seattle but he could be a sneaky good pick looking for a one year prove it deal to maybe redeem himself for the next offseason.

Maybe I can wake up Monday morning and see Flus finally fired.

Blake Mitchell is Salvador’s replacement more than likely. Taking a 18 year old catcher like the Royals did in Blake Mitchell probably means they are enamored with him. Can’t see him getting moved. He’s still likely 3/4 years away.

I don’t hate the trade. Losing Hoerner is going to hurt but Singer would be awesome. I was really wanting the Cubs to target him last off season.
