In the 70s and early 80s, Wales was all of my summer holidays. I'm slightly biased, but it's wonderful.

And the final cool part to the puzzle is that his Mother's maiden name was Montgomery 😎

This is in the same way that I'm half Welsh as my father and all relatives on that side of my family were/are Welsh. I still feel half Welsh having never lived in Wales.

He was of Irish ancestry, both his parents were born in Ireland. There is another interesting aspect to this in that Scots and Scots Irish, we are effectively the same people's so while I'd never think of myself as Irish, I cannot deny the connections and similarities.

The failure is continuing to make wealth the measure of success. Sure, we needed money to be the mark of success earlier in the life of man, but I'd offer we should have evolved beyond that by now.

100% agree with you on this. We actually have adults in charge in the UK for the first time in a long while. Are they perfect, no, but are they ethical, they look it so far.

I have a few American friends and they tell me, this is the original intent of a "well regulated militia" and their enshrined 2nd ammendment, to ensure no government can ever go against the will of the people.

Correct, to make it a different colour would simply have cost more. Now they simply cost more and we have no freedom of movement.

I'm neither left nor right leaning, definitely more centre so I'm not in your demographic, however my reason for leaving was definitely due to increased hatred and hate speech from both sides. There was also a small item of a new megalomaniac owner forcing his way into my feed.

Killing a person by shooting them in the back is not a revolution. He worked legally within a system that the justice system allowed. If what he was allowed to do legally was unjust, the justice system needs changed. If law is removed, then everyone is in grave danger.

The justice system needs changed. Remember there is legal justice and social justice.

The killing of people is unacceptable at all times. That is why we have justice systems. If the justice system is allowing bad people to do bad things, then the justice system needs changed.

Reminds me of the old adage. Hair today, gone tomorrow.

Surely your relatives would have also been proud of your epic plop?

There's something to be said for a "slowly slowly" approach though, rather than shock tactics and making people recoil in horror. Let them discover slowly that a fairer society breeds much more happiness and inclusive wealth. Just the ramblings of a hopeful old feller ...

Unfortunately, modern day politics has little to do with perfect policies etc, it's about winning as has been proven with 14 years of Tory austerity (they played to win, Corben didn't). If he implements a far left fiscal set of policies, he'd be probably be limiting the Labour Party to a single term

Quite possibly the best live band I've ever seen. This is an older song by these guys, the new stuff is also epic. open.spotify.com/track/1VZEFM...
