This is why the fed is independent. Otherwise presidents would be incentivized to overheat the economy to get re-elected, and not care that it will crash and burn when their terms are up. But I guess if you're insane enough, you can just burn it all down without the fun part.

The tariffs of his first term were hardly noticeable to an every day person, and yet they had this kind of impact on the world we live in. Now imagine if for some reason he decided to implement tariffs across the entire world. It will be impossible not to notice, and the impact will be far worse.
