“i’ve had a rough year, dad” “i know you have, chassie” perfect film + performance from Gene Hackman ❤️

I just upgraded ny phone to a Pixel Fold and one thing that is immediately apparent is that no apps or websites are designed for square screens

The problem with short form video algorithms is that they pay attention to what you will watch not what you want to watch. I don't WANT to watch endless Rory Sutherland clips but I WILL hate watch them

10/10 song goddamn music.youtube.com/watch?v=AjI_...

An incredibly rare treat indeed

Oh man, Gene Hackman 😭 Long old life, though, I forget that The Royal Tenenbaums is like 25 years old. RIP

Sigourney Weaver and Winona Ryder at the premiere of Alien: Resurrection (1997)

Incredibly sad about Michelle Tratchenberg. She felt like a weirdly huge part of my childhood, I absolutely loved The Adventures of Pete & Pete and Harriet the Spy. Obviously she'd eventually be in Buffy, too, but it was that Nickelodeon stuff that I knew her from mostly. It's just really sad

Remember in the late 90s and early 2000s when alternative rock bands would have a little DJ in their band to give their songs a bit of the old wikki wah wah

God, that Trapdoor screenshot has unlocked a memory dormant for like 25 years. Sad to hear the man behind it has passed, RIP

Was it half term or something?

David Lynch films ranked from normal to weird: 1. The Elephant Man 2. The Straight Story 3. Dune 4. Blue Velvet 5. Wild at Heart 6. Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me 7. Mulholland Drive 8. Lost Highway 9. Eraserhead 10. Inland Empire

Return of the King No Country for Old Men The Shape of Water Parasite Everything Everywhere All at Once

I wonder what percentage of millenials' first foreign language film was Amelie

Maybe corny but it was helpful for me to hear Henry Rollins saying "this is not time to be dismayed, this is punk rock time, this is what Joe Strummer trained you for... You can be thunderous in your own life, to the eight people around you. That rubs off... Goodness is viral"

One day I wanna go a-bub-bub-bub-bub-bub-bub-bub to get someone to stop talking

What's that? Is that the Returnal soundtrack? NO! It's Sonic Frontiers music.youtube.com/watch?v=rp9L...

Thinking about that time when I said I wanted the next Sonic game to be Breath of the Wild but with Sonic and then the next Sonic game was Breath of the Wild but with Sonic

It brings me no joy to say that I'm feeling an urge to play Shadow of the Erdtree again, despite it may making me madder than anything else I've played in the last decade

Oh and another thing I never realised before, but I'm pretty sure the Rancho Rosa ident that appears with every episode of The Return has a sound sampled from Eraserhead

Also before the film they played David Lynch's ice bucket challenge AND the weather report for February 24th 😭

Just watched Eraserhead on the big screen and damn it just hits. I'd also forgotten just how many callbacks there are to it in Twin Peaks The Return, kinda like Lynch's body of work ended where it started

You've ever seen a Nintendo Switch Development kit? it's more then double it's thicc-ness of a regular Switch! It also has a build-in HDMI, Network, and " Wii-Controller" - ports !

Always someone that has to wet their beak

It's wild to me that the solution to video media outlets having to rely on YouTube for revenue is to have to rely on Patreon for revenue. Everything is services, all the time. Even if someone rolls their own supporter system, people lament that it's not the one they know and have an account with

The car's on fire and there's no driver at the wheel

Tonight I saw THE MONKEY and it was goofy as hell. It's been a while since I've seen a film have quite so much fun with silly over the top ways for people to die

Might need to become a laptop gamer just so I can play Keep Driving

Heard that Just Got Paid song earlier and I think it's one of the most nothing songs I've ever heard. It sounds like a fake pop song written for a TV show. It's like a musical void.

Netflix is such a haven of mediocrity these days

you know the James Bond news is bad when the Bond youtubers who dress up in a tuxedo for basically every single video are appearing on camera dejected with an open-necked shirt and no jacket. disaster

I hope THPS3+4 is being developed by Vicarious Visions aka Blizzard Albany
