It's always been about which side's billionaires are better or worse. Soros has been their boogie man for decades. But what's changed is Elon is very vocal about his plans vs the Kochs who were/are largely in the shadows.

Yeah, apparently the party intent on lifting regulations also has a loose definition of which "Americans" qualify as workers. Disband the Department of Education and roll the clock back a century or more. Is the five day/8 hour a day work week next?

You used to be able to set up Signal to be the default text messaging app on Android, but then Signal decided that also supporting SMS was too hard and forced everyone to transition away. Now it's just another third messaging app, esp with RCS becoming prevalent and claiming some form of encryption.

Let's not forget that he basically decided he didn't want responsibility by leaving things up to local governments. He was able to play both sides by criticizing local governments he didn't agree with and acted as if guidance issued by other parts of his administration was the "deep state"

Would be interesting to respond and further parse the meaning of "appointed" in this context vis a vis the government's filing that said he isn't the head of DOGE. What position is he in that affords him protection.
