College Board deleted vids for multiple classes on AP Classroom about issues dealing with American Indians, Slavery, Racism, and sexism. For APUSH the first two videos on Slavery in the British Colonies were deleted, videos on Native American societies and Euro conquest, and Reconstruction. #edusky

A historian of early U.S.-#Canada relations notes that Trump isn’t the first leader to eye annexation—America’s ambitions date back before independence and often signal weakness, not strength. buff.ly/0vT4NgB By G. Patrick O'Brien, University of Tampa #polisky

It was a real privilege to talk to the minds at @revolution250.bsky.social this morning about my research on the Robie family, their experience as loyalist refugees in Nova Scotia, and their return to Massachusetts after the Revolution. Give them a listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and elsewhere!

@mackinnonart.bsky.social Can we get a "McDavid vs. Goliath" cartoon?!?! I'm thinking hockey puck in a slingshot aimed at a towering figure with only a long red tie visible, but everyone knows it's Trump!

Birthright citizenship is MUCH older than the 14th Amendment. In this 1784 letter, a father in exile notes that his status should have no bearing on his newborn daughter. She was born outside the US, and therefore not a US citizen—an advantage for loyalists refugees hoping to return after the Rev.

Donald Trump is no longer the president.

For the fans of the Revolution in the room.

Hey Bostonians, or anyone else really: I'm doing a virtual book chat tonight with the Old North Church (@oldnorth1723.bsky.social) about #AmericanNations. Open to the public; details here: www.meetboston.com/event/book-c...

It's pretty bleak here; however, I came across something neat today. I AM NOT a scholar of music, American culture, or the 20th century. But I did grow up on the Jersey Shore. If anyone would like to put together a panel for this conference, please let me know! networks.h-net.org/group/announ...

In its simplest terms, the apparent demise of #USAID is the result of the world's richest man ending a program that helps millions of poor people. You don't need a Ph.D. in moral theology to see why this is an evil. You can just read Jesus's parables on the rich and the poor.

Any runners on here? These shoes have more than 1,000 miles on them. I know that I *should* buy new ones. But not only do I love this pair, they genuinely feel perfect on my feet and are not slowing me down. I've decided to wear them until I physically cannot any more! Is this a horrible idea?!

"Deeply idealistic—a moral people, Adams held, would elect moral leaders—he believed virtue the soul of democracy. To have a villainous ruler imposed on you was a misfortune. To elect him yourself was a disgrace." — From The Revolutionary: Samuel Adams by Stacy Schiff

How can we use Rev250 to foster a more nuanced appreciation for the Loyalists and their experience during and after the war? It's a real privilege to kickoff a three-part exploration of Loyalist memory in H-Net's Remembering the American Revolution at 250! journals.h-net.org/America250/a...
