CO-SIGN!!!

I browsed one of my favorite bookstores today and came away with three books, two of which were written by dissidents in the Soviet Union. #BookSky

My mental health needed this guy today. Crying. Laughing. And crying laughing. youtu.be/cygv52I0XIM?...

Some quick thoughts about this historically embarrassing spectacle... 1) Zelenskyy was very impressive. 2) Trump shouts like a cranky grandpa. 3) VPJD is a piece of shit who isn't ready for primetime. 4) Sec. Little Marco hates himself. Dead inside.

I post this a LOT. I have never meant this more sincerely than today.

Slava Ukraini!

It's my understanding the current administration was humiliated by its betters today, an observation that will be evergreen for the next three years, ten months

RESPECT!!!

Perfect

I stand with Ukraine. Fuck the orange maggot, the couch-fucker and their Nazi regime.

Is it too much to ask for men's fashion to look like the outfit Gene Lyons (Federation Ambassador Fox) was wearing in Season 1, Episode 23 ("A Taste of Armageddon") in the original "Star Trek" series?

Here are the 8 books I finished reading in February 2025.

If these men whining about traditional masculinity wanted real heroes they would glom onto Zelensky. But no, they prefer their masculinity avatars to play golf (Trump),have lots of money (Elon), traffic women (Tate, allegedly), lie unashamedly(Trump & Elon), & celebrate cruelty (Trump & Elon).

What a beautiful and devastating book! I had read A. S. Byatt's great novel "Possession" in the 90s, and again in 2023, but it did not prepare me for the incredible range of human beauty and horror, triviality and depth, depravity and kindness she exhibits in "The Children's Book." #BookSky

Some more recent book acquisitions #BookSky

Today's book haul leaned heavily Asian 😊

Anyone know any alternatives to Google Maps and Apple Maps that work on a Samsung?

What are your philosophical foundations?

Folks are dying. This is Trump and Musk's doing.

I recently finished this beautiful and harsh novel, "Skull Water" by Heinz Insu Fenkl. Semi-autobiographical, it tells of a year in the life of a teenage son of a German-American soldier and a Korean mother in the 70s, navigating the obligations to family, friends, and himself.

Found this on Reddit. Seems about right.

β€˜Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for.’ - Seamus Heaney, Poet & Nobel Laureate.

Being ill on the week surrounding your birthday is not enjoyable. I'm mostly lying in bed, watching streaming, reading books, and missing my best buddy.

I hope for a day when religious fundamentalism is buried in the garbage heap of time.

Came across the germ of this idea recently & I think it's profound: the reason there's no monasticism in Protestantism is that fundamentally (i.e., at its base) it isn't about men controlling themselves, but men controlling women. Monks have no opportunity to control women. Nuns self-regulate.

Important PSA

I think we all feel this way!
