It's somehow only just occurred to me.. Trump's ego parade (because that's what it is) is on the same day at Trooping The Colour in the UK - apparently considered the most impressive military parade in the world. I wonder if that's just coincidence...

I got reminded today that BBC R2 lunchtime show is bad for my blood pressure. They were talking about the economy. First we had the shadow chancellor on saying in one breath that the country was in a huge amount of debt, & in another breath that the Tories are "the party of fiscal responsibility"

I have no interest in echo chambers. I’m fine with differing opinions. That said, Nazis do not get a seat at the table EVER. Diverse voices are good, but hate-filled monsters can get fucked.

I use Google Workspace for my emails and related stuff. It used to be the free "Google For Your Domain", but they discontinued that, so I've got to pay for it now. I've just been informed that the price is going up because of "the significant added AI value". AI value that I don't use or want! :(

I'd forgotten just how bad some of TNG season 1 really is...

It's fair to say that the Daleks, Cybermen and Master are the most iconic enemies in Dr Who. An I right that Belinda is the only companion in modern Who - not counting those only in a single episode - that never met any of them?

I'm astonished how often huge companies release software that would fail QA where I work. Presumably, they're cutting corners to save either time or money. It's ridiculous.

I've just seen an article saying that Dr Who has gone downhill, claiming that it's becoming too Woke instead of being purely entertaining. And, way to tell me that you've never really seen the show before. Even back at the very beginning it was very progressive for its time...
