Here's a strange thing about editing: I can generally tell whether a page is well-edited just by looking at it (and without reading it). There's something about the shape of the paragraphs. I'm not totally sure how this works, but it does!

I've just finished a final edit of the GM advice in Cosmic Dark, which means the book is nearly finished. This is a proof copy, in case you wondered: it's not in its final form, but it's looking good.

Hashtags! I always forget hashtags. So here's the Kickstarter for Cosmic Dark, my weird space horror game again. If you haven't signed up yet, please do. #ttrpg #ttrpgs #kickstarter

We saw The Importance Of Being Earnest last night, in the cinema but streamed from the theatre. It's full of joy and very queer. They'll repeat it next week, so see it if you can.

I'm late to this, but Nine Inch Nails are pretty good, aren't they? There's some real musical knowledge in there: a bit of atonalism, a weird time signature. Anyway, more in-depth music reviews later, you're welcome.

I'm waking up to find Cosmic Dark has 300 followers after a single day! I'm amazed. Thanks so much for signing up. www.kickstarter.com/projects/gra...

Thanks to everyone who's shared the crowdfunder for Cosmic Dark, I appreciate it so much! Here it is again for anyone that's starting their day now. Please do sign up and please share it far and wide. www.kickstarter.com/projects/gra...

And we're off! www.kickstarter.com/projects/lum...

I love this. Isn't this the best thing about tabletop RPG mechanics? They subtly push the story in a particular direction.

This morning, I'm playing Starfield. I had fairly low expectations, but honestly, it's got to the stage where I'm exploring a space city filled with people and shops, and that's making me quite happy. Echoes of the Citadel in Mass Effect 1. I want a game that's all about exploring a space city.

There are only a few hours left for this game, which got played a lot at Contingency, the games convention I was at. And there aren't many games about motherhood. Give it a look.

I'm editing the scenario-writing advice in Cosmic Dark and The Ojays' Backstabbers has just come on. Strangely appropriate.

This looks fascinating. I once wrote a Fast & Furious combat mechanic, which went: when you fight, bullets and fists fly, nobody gets hurt, but perhaps you understand each other better afterwards.

Funded and all the way to 110% in under 3 hours. It's my ?th time through this process, and each time I forget how hard it is to do anything besides watch the numbers. Thanks to everyone for the support! www.kickstarter.com/projects/r-r...

This is what I say in the Cosmic Dark rulebook, in case you wondered...you describe the PC being tempted to do something, but then let the player decide whether they actually do it. "You find yourself taking a step towards...", "You find some strange words on your lips...", "You get an urge to..."
