Anyway, you can expect a game set in a bazaar or a "big shop" (the old name for a department store) shortly. It might be a prequel to the Cinnamon Bakery. Or might not.

When you post a cover, my mental process goes like this: Does it have a religious word in the title? Yes - it's Black Iron Legacy. No - it's the other one.

That's nice. I think that kind of thing is so hard to write: I've never managed it. Ghost Court is the other game I think of as a party game.

P.S. I think that Mass Effect 1 was the best of the series and all the sequels were a betrayal of the original game. And I enjoyed wandering around the Citadel and solving people's marital problems. I am the only person who thinks this.

I think it's colour, but it serves a purpose for me. It gives you a feeling of dread about what's going to happen - like glimpsing a monster in the distance - and then it actually does happen. It's a feeling of "That couldn't actually happen, could it?". I could do something similar in a scenario.

This is genuinely how fights work in the Fast & Furious movies. It all looks dangerous, but nobody really gets hurt. Afterwards, you either hate each other or respect each other more.

And similarly for memories and feelings. You say "You get a feeling of comfort", but then the player decides whether the PC is actually comfortable. "You have a faint memory of X...but that can't be right, can it?".
