To be fair, SoftBank fuckin LOVES to throw obscene amounts of money at dumb ideas that'll never work.

"This is bullshit, it was bad enough when Obama skipped the line, but this guy isn't even a real Democrat!" and "If we don't do something, he's going to scare off all our donors!"

I got a couple of air filters a few years ago when the wildfires were REAL bad in the PNW, but I've noticed that just running them all the time also makes my house less stinky, and helps with my alergies. No reason not to.

I used to know an anarchist, friend of a friend, who got a job as a military contractor and just sat in it for like 5 years, trying to be as disruptive as possible while flying under the radar.

God, I remember when VLC came out. You could just download it and watch ANYTHING, instead of downloading like GorDIAN-codek_v2.3.15.mkv, which would technically let you watch pirated anime but would also install, just, an insane number of viruses onto the family computer.

I bought Balatro on steam, then decided that I really wanted to play it on my couch, so I bought it on Switch, then it came out on mobile, and, well, it'd be rude not to.

I mean, I passively try to solve it. I think about the book when I'm not actively reading it. I rarely take notes, unless the book is confusing to the point where I'm losing track of who's who.

I've had one in my bathroom cabinet for like 15 years, and the constant humidity is kind of causing it to crumble on its own. But like, it's still there & still works.

No you didn't. That's mostly just a list of bad things that Trump/Musk are doing. The closest you come to a plan of action is "become the party of unions," which is really more of a vague wish than a "framework to fight against Trump."

Oh, wait, I interpreted this as Gon being stuck in The Village (2005, Shyamalan), where Gon is being told not to leave a village in the woods, guarded by old people in masks & an oppressively isolationist culture. And I'm thinking, like, he'd just walk out to get the medicine. This is easy.

I don't think The Village would pose any real challenge to Gon, whereas #6 would have to deal with the very real possibility of getting blown up because he wasn't able to beat a gorilla in a beach volleyball tournament.

Gemini and ChatGPT, et al regularly get things wrong about my biography, which is something I know rather a bit about, so I'm not confident about them being correct about things I know less about.

It feels like it was made by a middle manager who was using GenAI to both brainstorm the idea and write the script. Just, the dead median of all human writing, handled by someone with no particular idea of what they're supposed to be doing.

But what if he has to haul something? (that's no more than 4 feet long)
