How can you have secret police to disappear people if they’re not secret?

I just repeat “I would like you to cancel my account or transfer me to someone who can” until it’s done. One company (alarm system) took five transfers but it got done.

The White House retreated after the Dresden-level firebombing from veterans groups. Let’s just say my friends and I were very vocal about this.

I periodically teach an MBA seminar where I show them how the intersection of tech design and “business optimization” without thinking that all the way through leads to really bad outcomes for people. No evil intent, just a lack of ethical foresight.

I may or may not have ever told a Chief Petty Officer that he might want to have a quiet conversation with an E-3/4 type about off-base hijinks that they thought nobody noticed. The general response was “thank you, sir, I’ll take care of it.”

There are a lot of great flight instructors, I have flown with many and even attended programs that switched instructors every flight. As someone said above, just go fly. I have had many instructors, most were great and there are only two I would never fly with again.

Just regretting all those years of my life I wasted in SCIF meetings when we could have just done it all with WhatsApp from the bar.

There are also likely racist underpinnings. Beards are normally allowed only for certain religious accommodations (Sikhs, etc.) or for cases of folliculitis barbae which disproportionately affects African American men.

Jodhpurs implies some background in horses other than just being a horse’s ass. He claims to be a hillbilly, so these are just fancy jean shorts.

I’ll lobby for three decades, dating to the “Republican Revolution” when Gingrich became Speaker.

Question on the “illegal slave trade” portion. Under the current right wing theory (hogwash), the children of two slaves that were illegally imported would not be protected by the 14th Amendment because their parents were illegal immigrants? Seems sus.

True. The challenge is that it doesn’t take that many people willing to do so to inflict a lot of harm.

That was a hard transition. But, as one of my Reactor Operators once said “I just want to get a job where I don’t have to wear my name on my shirt.”

Rome. Great food, history, architecture, easily navigable. If you have a few extra days, hop the train to Florence.

I hear if you wash it down with gin it gets better. Do your own research, of course.

Great beaches, nice people, relaxing liberty port. Not a grower of tea leaves for US elections.

☝️☝️☝️ If you REALLY want to do daypart pricing, there's ways to do it that actually make the customer feel like it isn't a grift. This...isn't it. No surprise they're walking it back as fast as they can.

I once bought a house advertised with "neutral decor". In their minds, Big Bird Yellow, Kool Aid Grape, and Barbie Pink were "neutral." A can of Killz goes a long way.

I'm good. May take a few plot twists, but they'll sort it in the end.

Since the judge probably wants them to write it in plain English, the jury is probably taking a long time with all of the zero's here. Taking turns as their hands cramp since they're writing in tiny print to fit more zeros on the page.
