We moved on from the War on Terror and the accompanying human rights abuses. We moved on from Reconstruction before the work was done. Moving on from both led to where we are now. If we move on from our current crises, we're setting ourselves up for those same problems again and again and again.

I don't think so, because there's strong evidence most MAGA faithful don't actually believe much of what they say. Instead, they believe they're in on the con. It's less "I believe Trump's lies" and more "we must collectively lie, because that is our weapon in the war against liberals."
