Can't wait!* *To find out the financial payoff for the owners in exchange for doing all these friendlies the last few years

To Steven's point: Turner is out here just working hard and trying to connect passes, and looks like he belongs. Why, with the lack of talent in this team, could he not get on the field until now? It's inexcusable.

This and...I like that we brought a young player in on loan for a few months to evaluate...only to give him minimal mins, including Troy waiting til the 80th minute of a 6-1 blowout to get him on. Why even bring Barajas in???

All, I'm losing faith that we'll "get'em" this half.

It's graduation party season so I turned my tickets in for today's match. Thankfully.

We'll get'em second half.

So, Kang ISN'T a panacea for all DC soccer clubs???

4pt week is huge for this team. The calls for Troy's firing should cease for now. The team is still clearly fighting for him.

I like that the singular and plural of Japanese is Japanese.

Oh, Badji.

The fellow doing the pbp has watched maybe 10mins of DCU this season. Maybe less.

Some 1st half thoughts: -DC's press is giving FCC a ton of problems -Weds celly aside, what if Troy lit a fire under a player who has been on cruise control during his time here? Is that bad coaching? -I remain a fan of Antley. Great value signing.

Pirani is interesting in that he's pretty lightweight in every regard except at the top or just inside the box, where he is lethal.

Geoff from @cincysoccertalk.bsky.social said that FCC has been the cure for what ails MLS clubs this season and I said that DC seems incurable. Guess I was wrong.

It's never "fun" discussing the state of DCU but I had a fun time chopping it up with the @cincysoccertalk.bsky.social about this weekend's match.

This is the other side of the Lucho experience. I miss him in Black and Red but there will always be dramz with him.

I think this means DC United qualify for the Club World Cup

Tubbs was sloppy in his passing but I don't love Peltola as the RCB. We'll see what happens.

First half analysis: Neither of these teams are very threatening going forward.

Let's also think about switching out some outfield players before we go to PKs as well.

Fletcher has looked lively since coming on. But I get why you'd have to sit a young, dynamic player who could command a hefty transfer fee down the road while giving a different offensive option for DCU right now for.... Dom Badji.

Never sold my Schnegg stock.

If anyone can figure out the Fletcher (or Barajas or Turner) situation, can you clue a brother in?

DC gonna nil nil their way to a playoff spot huh?

PitchPass always has and always will be an automatic “yes” for me. It is always fun, always informative and Roche always keeps it real. 👀

Not much discuss about the on field product, so @mlsist.bsky.social and I chopped up the #LevienOut talk and whether it will change the club's fortunes. Always an adventure when Pablo joins the show and this episode is no different. www.buzzsprout.com/8793/episode...

Good to see Jackson Hopkins back out there. This has been my analysis of this DCU-NYCFC match.

I dropped a few takes and tried to give some perspective, but this episode is all about Roche's ORIGINAL REPORTING 🚨🔎

Someone for DCU fans to dream on: 2010 born winger/CAM Oscar Avilez is legit. He's been the clear best player for two '09 age matches at MLS next Flex. Getting minutes with the U18s. Skillful and smooth. Probably destined for MLSNP minut...oh wait.

You check out the new episode yet?

Was watching the Academy kids at MLS next Flex in Boyds today so I missed this match. How'd they look?

New episode! Is D.C. United's Academy still free? @cboehm.bsky.social joins me to discuss a report last week that DCU changing it's Academy model. www.buzzsprout.com/8793/episode...

The DC snapshot: -1 DP slot available -1 U22 slot available -1 int'l slot available -670k in GAM Outside of Klich and Enow (and maybe Peltola), the roster looks worth the money spent. If they filled the available slots, it'd be a playoff team. But...they haven't...yet...sooo...

This opens up another question. Will DC treat their MLSNP team as a development squad or will they try to "win" because it's based in a big city that will want to be competitive?
