It’s not about “ignoring” the noise or volume of what Trump is doing, it’s about refusing to normalize his behavior. If we allow him to get away with this, we are telling the world we are ok with it and it will happen again. Trump is all about messaging and optics. Let’s send a message of our own.

imo, the worst thing about this admin is the amount of heinous shit being normalized. Bit by bit, they are chipping away at social morality. They are paving a runway for themselves to drive these bigoted policies through. It’s not about getting it done today, it’s just about getting it done.

Just finished #TheBodyKeepsTheScore by Bessel Van Der Kolk. I had heard it was good but what an amazing journey that was. So carefully articulated and thoughtful stories of trauma that most can relate to. I found myself rooting for all the patients mentioned in the book. Highly recommend!

Ya know what feels bad. After serving in the military for 6 years and basically being broken before 35, I can’t confidently look my wife in the face and say “I can’t wait to have a child and throw down roots here”. Instead, we fear my wife’s rights just want out. Is this the American “dream”?

The DEI argument is so reductive and ignorant. It’s like the new age satanic panic. Plus, before DEI, rich white dudes were hiring unqualified friends, family members, etc. The difference here is, DEI is used ALONGSIDE qualifications, not as a substitute for it. We need better messaging on this.
