The greatest illusion was the America was “different” from everyone else. We are all witnessing, in real time, how wrong that assumption was.

In order to have meaningful discussions, we need some form of moderation. Especially in an environment where misinformation is flooding conversations to take control of the narrative. “Free” speech in 2025 is not the same as in 1995. The volume of misinformation completely changed the game

Because to them, those loans serviced the most valuable “citizens” of all. Businesses.

100% agree. The problem I have is that when some progressives call out the Dems for being too soft and basically criticizing them in a similar fashion, they are an enemy. When AOC says it, it’s all good. AOC has been screaming about this since before the election. I wonder if they will listen now

It is one of my favorite movies because of how moronic it makes a specific someone look lol

Exactly! I obviously haven’t worked with him, but he seems to be like most other executive types, where they ride off the coattails of the actual intellectuals around them. He also just spouts random shit without filter. It’s like he’s Donnie’s long lost son. I bet Jr. feels left out 🤣

The playbook of an incompetent loser.

Completely agree and point taken. I think we just have this assumption that we do not need to point out that the GOP is full on fascist and Nazi with all this MAGA shit.

I don’t give a shit if you are conservative, progressive, libertarian, etc. If you agree this shit is wrong, we are on the same side. I have always voted Dem and absolutely stand behind them and our democratic institutions. Criticism does not equal opposition. But with that said, fuck fascism.

The GOP already sold there souls so they are not longer playing by the rules of the “game”. It looks like Dems still are. Yes, it’s not the Dems fault for the unhinged shit going on, but if they don’t step outside of their comfort zone and handle it, the people just might. That will be much worse.

I’m sorry, but what in the diddly fuck is this? Who thought this was a good idea? A few years ago, I bought a dice tray from them and now I really wish I didn’t. Just a side note, the guy with the cap…they should just let him go because the vibes he is putting out is not a good one.

Here is the kicker. Even with multiple favorable evaluations and medical research backing up a service connected event, many veterans have to fight for YEARS. It’s a battle of attrition, and they hope you will give up and go away. It’s a broken system and it needs help. We need more compassion.

What we are missing is this, sort of, social glue that is not dependent on status or individual placement within society. We should instead be just viewing each other as countrymen, women and people. Then work our way up, fixing problems from the bottom. Not the other way around.

He highlighted something, which I think is, very important. We to often dehumanize each other for the sake of competition. The "haves" and "have nots". The lower, middle and upper class. Blue collar vs white collar.

I think it’s less the job and more the culture. I can only speak for the US, but we are conditioned to “live to work”, when we should be following the lead of almost all other developed nations and “work to live”. I sympathize though and not saying, “Just don’t take it home, idiot!”

I think so many don’t realize how VA benefits are always on the docket for cuts. The scary part is, this admin might actually succeed where others failed and we won’t have John Stewart level of support to help fight back. Just another fuck you to vets I guess.

This shouldn’t really be a surprise to anyone. They just started saying the quiet part out loud. This is what happens when you normalize bigotry, people start getting really confident in their abysmally atrocious takes. The worst part, they think they are coming off as intelligent.

It really hits home when those that were supposed to be looking out for you and be on your side, decide to smile while pulling the ladder up behind them. That’s what got me involved more than anything. But, I think that means I’m lazy, right?

If this was real, “my body, my choice” would be adopted real quick. Fuck having a precedent, they would etch that shit into the constitution.
