my guess is that it sees you typing "my birthday is..." and it knows your birthday so it's just predicting the end of the sentence you're typing. It's just in the language you're typing in, I dont think it's seeing it as duolingo particularly vs a different app

This is a good solution. Similar to private archives. "It exists and I can show it to you if you ask" is the point of a citation!

Temeraire books are super fun but I think of them as far sillier/less beautiful than Wolf Hall/Hild etc.

This is one of the first pieces I've worked on at Roosevelt truly from beginning to end. It was such a joy to work with @katiejwells.bsky.social to bring her critical research to our audience. I hope you all read it!

Especially since it's likely Finance filling this out in many cases and HR dealing with the job listings and neither of them may actually be in regular communication with the department hiring (obviously good work places dont waste colleagues' time but it's not hard to imagine)

Anyway no one cares about my video game takes but this is what I do in my free time so happy Saturday!! And if you’re looking for a game to play I can recommend many that are better than Veilguard 😂

The game mechanics are honestly why I stuck with it because it could be distracting without being actively annoying. And there is a small part of me that wants to replay as a Warden to get more of that lore…but I can also just watch clips on YouTube. What a sad ending to a great series.

The good things I will say for it is that the game *mechanics* are super smooth. It’s like the opposite of Dragon Age: Inquisition, where the story is killer but the mechanics are so annoying. And with Veilguard they figured out how to do an RPG with ZERO inventory management which is impressive

Defenders claim the only reason gamers are attacking it is for the “woke” stuff. But I’m sorry, you can put all that aside and you still have a badly written game. And it’s hurt further by the BioWare/Dragon Age brand, bc it does feel childish next to their other work.

My good sirs, if I found men intimidating I would not a) have a history PhD and b) manage a think tank. Try again!

Yes the one real rule is the contract has to be signed by the application deadline (Dec 8), but do keep us in mind for next year!
