DOGE is like if Fyre Festival was a government agency.

Grew up (in the 70s) thinking the ADL were the good guys, and I've just recently understood that they didn't really change in the intervening years as much as my Zionist indoctrination fell away, revealing to me the true nature of the organization.

You found her! Congratulations! 🎊

Grandpa approved.

Here's the thing: I don't want my government spending to be efficient as much as I want it to be effective. It doesn't have to be the the cheapest way to do a thing as long as there is an expectation that the thing will get done. Redundancy and stockpiling are good things in this context.

1973: A single income could buy a house, raise a family, and afford vacations. 2024: Two jobs can barely cover rent, and 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Productivity has soared. Corporate profits have soared. Wages? Stagnant. They lied about trickle-down. It’s time to take it back.
