My mom's side of the family are hug people. I stopped accepting hugs at 18 months. Mom was good with me, I think my own children resent me though for being unable to cuddle them. I didn't know I was autistic, I thought I was just being a dick.

And yet my 65 year old mother called me recently to ask how many "jigs or bigs or whatever" she should be looking for when buying a flash drive for her photos.

I'm probably moving soon and the paralyzing uncertainty is making everything else about the process that much more impossible-feeling.

Shame. The exaggerated movement in the drawing implies an actual good cartoonist, wish he wasn't such a trash person.

I told him some of this about a year ago though and he actual cried and said he never wanted me to feel like that and of course I'm welcome to be me, etc. teenhood with him was just real rough though

I know he was abused a lot in his life and deals with stress by being a workaholic. It's so hard to want to have empathy for him though. I'm still dealing with every ~character flaw~ autism symptom that I'll never "fix" because that's not a character flaw, that's literally just me.

After writing and reading several long comments I'm just gonna say that this post reminds me to be really mad at my dad for pushing this shit on me.

My sister's puppy used his cone as a way to carry more toys around with him. We're trying to rebrand it to "cone of holding"
