Two different outcomes, one shouldn't have been nail-biting but was, and the other was always likely to be close and didn't disappoint. England not successful in the former, but held on at the end in the latter. Mixed emotions as an England cricket and rugby fan.

If Brook and Buttler can steady the ship, they should be able to power on for the win. It is amazing that not long ago, I would have said that India were a little short in their total as England would chase anything under 400 down easily. These days, that ain't the case it seems.

Sunday was a mixed bag as an England cricket & rugby fan: great result in the #M6N & a much better performance for all 80 mins; OK from Marcus at 15 & the "double Smith" experiment may well continue; but we still need to be on our best game to beat the Scots & not trip against Italy & Wales.

On current form and with no injuries, Joe Root could well pass Ricky Ponting and become the 2nd highest #Test run scorer when we play India at either Old Trafford or the Oval. If he continues similarly he should pass Tendulkar before his 37th birthday, with 45-48 centuries. #Cricket #CrystalBall

A nice little 7-fer from one of my favourite cricketers, Rashid Khan, in Afghanistan's 72 run victory over Zimbabwe this morning. 11 in the match too. Only 15 balls bowled on Day 5 which was enough to wrap the last two wickets up. Valiant effort from Erskine in vain. #Test #Cricket #ZIMvAFG

A victory overnight for AUS. It looks like a decision for Bavuma on whether or not to enforce the follow on in Cape Town with SA clearly in the box seat. Whilst in Bulawayo, five sessions for ZIM to get 278 or AFG 10 wickets, so it can go either way. #TestCricket is still the best format.
