This sounds excellent. Would make a great double feature with Lord of Illusions.

Also, if there was a show called “Eric Robert’s Presents The Terror of Lifetime TV” - that would be appointment viewing for me.

Also, I was reading this logline to my wife and she said that she would watch this movie.

Definitely stronger! I tried a version that introduced some urgency, if that’s helpful, ha: “In the seedy world of 1986, an ex-con races to the learn the truth behind his girlfriend’s disappearance using a a reality-warping hallucinogen that could trap him in a fever dream forever.”

I think he did pull it off! Sure, it’s low budget, but I think the film works and captures the charm of the comic.
I’m curious why it’s never been given a belated release. To my knowledge, he didn’t do a tax write off, just didn’t release it. Would be great to get a clean scan of this!

Right, but I guess my point is, it was no secret what Trump was planning for Gaza. Or his hatred for Muslims in general. So it seems a bit disingenuous to assume no responsibility when the outcome was pretty obvious. We definitely know that a Harris admin wouldn’t have done this.

Harris literally defended Gaza during her acceptance speech, while Trump outright promised to do what he’s doing now, and somehow Harris was the problem? I think we can all acknowledge that protest vote was a mistake.

It also kinda sounds like the Pinhead line we never got. “Oh child, even you will see…Jesus thirsts.”

Sorry to hear, Erick. May her memory be a blessing.

They’re all the same character, just recast, not different universes. That’s why Chase mentions Catwoman, and Alfred/Gordan are the same actors. So when Keaton died, Clooney effectively died, too.

I loved that they sorted out that they could achieve flashbacks via it being taped over existing footage. It was a brilliant conceit.

The simple truth is, you had a problematic star and a movie franchise (DCEU) that was already running on fumes. Even if the movie was 10/10, you’re not going to open on that. Hindsight - Gustin should have been their Flash across all media.

This sequence in particular - the final colosseum fight, was my favorite moment of the film, getting one last big David Allen showpiece. Also shout out to Chris Endicott for finishing the remaining stop motion and Richard Band for a great score!
