If all the other wars would not have started if Trump was president. Then following his logic, then this war started because he is the president.

Trump will walk away unfortunately.

I believe that the European countries would come to their aid.

This does not surprise me at all. However, it still makes me sick. This is a new low for the US administration, they all should be arrested and had up for complicity in war crimes.

Yeah we need to stand up to this madness. Trump through his support for the aggressor is taking us there. Tulsi is just another voice for the aggressor state, russia.

Russia, has, and always will do whatever benefits them. They need more bodies on the front line, so of course they will agree to a swap. But this, as to the article's point, has nothing to do with peace. It has everything to do with continuing the war.

The US are looking for an exit strategy that they can blame onto Ukraine. Shameful, morally bankrupt and totally incompetent behavior by the US. I've gone past just blaming trump, these morons have a brain and opinions, but would rather blindly follow trump's mindless thought bubbles.

Ukraine had accepted the 30 day unconditional ceasefire more than 30 days ago. Russia just continues the war of aggression and has not offered anything other than the complete capitulation of Ukraine for a ceasefire to begin. So, what do the US consider to be a concrete proposal?????

Narcissists lie to exercise a form of control over the narrative and others. They also tend to talk a lot and are poor listeners. Pity he was elected president, which forces us to listen to his constant BS.

Ohhh, so the "art of the deal" involves siding with a genocidal dictator against the victim. But what? The victim has a voice, and does not want to surrender? They are being difficult? So, in reality the
" art of deal" is nothing more than mafia bullying against a " perceived" weaker opponent.

"Peace Plan"?
Why would Ukraine agree to surrender?
The sooner the US leaves NATO the better, and leave it to the Europeans to take the lead.
Trump can completely isolate the US and do us all a favor.

Russian demands are not of this world. They come from the land "Fantasia" where all your dreams come true. Either that or putin lives in an alternative reality. Perhaps he is auditioning for a role in trump's new reality TV show,
" The world according to trump"

This all means nothing if Ukraine says No.

Negative 100. It's not a mediation, it's a mafia style takedown. Give up all your territories, people, and minerals and then we might be able to get putin to pause attacking your country for a nano second. If you reject this offer, then we have better things to do.

312 vehicles and fuel tanks, that has to be a record. This indicates to me, that russia are running short on armoured vehicles. Why would they use soft vehicles for frontal assaults otherwise. This reminds me of the senseless blind charges of the charge of the light brigade.

And the US say nothing. What a pathetic bunch of losers they have become. Or perhaps they have dropped all pretense, and this is who they really were all along.
comment in response to

Ohhhh, it's all a bit toooooo much. The people of the US needs to take a very very very hard look at their core values. If this is the caliber of diplomatic dipshits that they are putting on the international stage, then the western world as we knew it, is dead.

They can huff and puff and talk all the nonsense they like about an other countries territory. But in the end, Ukraine will make their own choices about their own people and territories.

Why on earth would Ukraine consider a rare earth minerals deal with THIS US administration? Trump has probably made a deal with putin, provided that the US recognise russias land grab. Despicable human beings.

Ummm, why the change of tune, previously she supported Ukraine. MAGA meatheads will say anything to keep their jobs. No moral compas, no moral ethics, and no brain.

These people obviously think that we are all stupid and will swallow their BS excuses without a thought. Funny how the aggressor has no tariffs and the victim is brutalised again and again and again.

The actual " root causes" for this conflict, is that russia is unable to accept that Ukraine no longer wants, or needs to be in the russian sphere if influence. The divorce happened back in the 1990's and they still can't get over it.

Bugger that, 1991 borders, or forget about it. Ukraine should not be victim blamed and forced to cede territory. Russia must be defeated on the battlefield and forced to pay reparations for all the damage they have caused. Negotiations should focus on the breakup of the russian federation.
