How many marmite sandwiches and apples do you reckon Luxon is getting for his $60 weekly grocery shop?

The scrambling of Leggett & friends to evade responsibility for RECENT failings in Wellington Water astounds me. Yes councils have underfunded water for decades, but massive increases in funding need to be accompanied by accountability and value for money.

This is such an incredible find and an important reminder of just how many amazing stories there still are to be told about our history. youtu.be/-cntDYfRNUw?...

I'll put this succinctly given Luxon is struggling with basic principles of accountability... Who is to blame if a publicly funded food provider repeatedly fails to deliver the food they're being paid tens of millions for? A) The food provider B) The food recipient www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/go-make-a...

Reneeā€™s decided to try out squash for the next few months. She went down and had a practice hit out on Saturday afternoon and came home all deflated that she had no one to practice with. So guess who is now also trying out squash? šŸ¤£

Given the MoE hasnā€™t been keeping official records of feedback, and knowing kids arenā€™t really ones to write proactively to ministers or officials with praise, Iā€™m skeptical of this claim from Seymour. Maybe itā€™s true, and a quick OIA should clear things upā€¦

It's a shame to see the safety of cyclists, and potentially pedestrians, being compromised. This is merely a decision based on the reckons of Councilors who never supported cycleways in the first place www.thepost.co.nz/nz-news/3605...

When is the Auditor-General going to investigate the absolute omnishambles of gross mismanagement on display that David Seymour has made of our school lunch programme? www.rnz.co.nz/news/nationa...

RNZ's Maia Ingoe looks at new research highlighting a circular pattern in submissions on road spending: we must spend more $ on roads because people don't have good alternatives to driving, we must also not spend $ on alternatives bc we need it to upgrade+maintain roads www.rnz.co.nz/news/nationa...

Claims the Council is not listening and changing direction defy reality. It only takes a brief look at the investment in water, the district plan, and our bus network to see we have listened, and we're delivering what people have asked for www.thepost.co.nz/nz-news/3605...

1. I didnā€™t micromanage my staff to the extent that my vehicle company is having to recall nearly 400,000 vehicles. 2 through 5: See above

lol, even Muskā€™s own AI - the one he claims is the worldā€™s smartest AI - doesnā€™t believe his phoney claim that Zelenskyy is a dictator šŸ¤£

When I was sort of hoping it would rain to cancel cricket this evening I didnā€™t mean for it to start raining right at school pick up.

The inevitable fall out between Trump and Musk is going to be hilarious to watch.

So presumably the Teaching Council, which relied on the faulty forecasts when making their decisions around tougher assessments for student teachers, are going to rollback their decisionsā€¦ right? www.rnz.co.nz/news/nationa...

After four solid days of study my brain is feeling exhausted šŸ˜© I have another 10 months of this to go šŸ˜

Canadians are just itching to turn that ā€œGeneva Conventions? More like Geneva Suggestionsā€ joke into reality if the Yanks invade šŸ˜³

I am nothing if not a pain in the arse when it comes to these things, which is why I wrote to the Ombudsman last month and it turns out I may have gotten them to reconsider this. www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/ombudsman...

On the bright side, I just dealt with a fantastic person at StudyLink who was really helpful and managed to move things along for me. I was starting to stress out but fingers crossed this is a good sign and I might actually get my fees paid and living costs start appearing in my account soon.

What the hell? Itā€™s not meant to drop below 21c overnight? What happened to those single digit nights back in January?!? I want them back!

Stanford taking the opportunity to kick Seymour when he's stumbling is a pretty good indication of National's frustration towards ACT's leader. They blame him for creating sideshow after sideshow that's distracting from their attempt to focus on the economy. www.stuff.co.nz/politics/360...

Not sure Iā€™ve ever been this organised for study in my entire life. First half year of assessments all up on a wall planner, same with professional placements, as well as a few other important dates - a few races I want to aim for, my golf trip, and Reneeā€™s Fiji holiday.

Missed Appleā€™s Powerbeats Pro 2 release. Specs look meh. More than twice the price of JBLā€™s Endurance Peak IIIs for what? JBLs have better battery life, sound quality is great, and are IP68 vs IPX4 (trust me it matters). ANC, Siri, and a redundant HRM arenā€™t worth the price.

Two attacks, using force (people were injured at the library, "breaking through" police barricades here), against the queer community of Auckland in one day by Destiny. We are owed an explanation as to why there are thus far zero arrests. There may BE a good explanation, but if so we are owed it.
