The thing I can say with YouTube is that yes, it can greatly help, since twitch doesn't have visibility. YouTube is used by people as a "funnel" to bring people to their Twitch, while that'll greatly help/speed up follower/potential viewership, it's not necessary if you do streaming for funsies

15-30 minutes a day commenting on posts will make quite a big impact! You'd be surprised how well this does for getting your name out, it's the best and lowest energy form of marketing you can do for yourself :)

Social media is a wild beast tbfh. I consider posting like fishing. You can use different bait (tags, keywords) to make it a little better, but ultimately it’s luck and timing to get a blowup post

Don’t be afraid to make an outreach post with the things that YOU like! Not all posts need to be about trends or whats hot.
Genuine posts reaching out to and engaging with the like-minded are what will bring, well, likeminded people towards you :) it’s slow but way more beneficial in the long run

Luckily bsky doesn’t equate the same way as the other site, it doesn’t promote or show post viewership here, so while it may feel more dull you technically could be pulling better viewership here, you just don’t see it :)
