I apply the first rule of anthropology: assume the people you're studying are not stupid. If the Democrats are doing nothing, it's because they're happy with what Trump's doing. They abandoned the New Deal fifty years ago.

More like 50 years! It started in the seventies. Carter was the first president to "run the government like a business". He started the pattern of deregulation.
