Yep, been looking at Greece, but there’s so much choice that I’m after more specific recommendations as there’s a lot out there!

Yes! We did quickly work out we had mutual friends, so pretty much straight away said “we’d probably have stuff to talk about, let’s meet up,” so probably wasn’t always that quick. But the admin of keeping on top of the apps as well as twitter, WhatsApp, email, was too much, so I’d just move chats!

No eyeing him suspiciously from the other side of the sofa 🤨

I get what you’re saying but when I was dating on the apps I’d do it very soon, and nothing bad ever came of it. Mostly because I hated the apps and wanted to spend as little time on them as possible. My fiancé and I moved to WhatsApp within about half an hour. Hopefully he’s not a scammer 🤞🏽

But even part of that advice is bullshit! “I always tell my clients, ‘Don’t go on WhatsApp, that’s where the scammers live.’” Nonsense. Moving straight to WhatsApp once you start chatting properly is normal and fine. Someone’s WhatsApp profile picture can tell you a lot too.

Oh my god me too. It always made me feel like I needed to lose weight before going on the apps. Worst advice ever.

Hi Peter, I picked this up from the BBC report: www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

It’s no skin off my nose, as I got my bags back myself. However, it is a shame for the next however many people who fall victim to them, and may not be as lucky.

I mean, nothing was stolen, no harm done in the end, but this feels like a bit of a cop-out. I literally gave EXACT timings for CCTV, so it would not have taken hours to review the footage, and they’ve just missed out on obtaining images of (likely prolific) thieves.

Hard to tell if there were any peas in the liquor tbh.

But chips and gravy and actual nice pies exist for that very scenario.

Yeah it ain’t cheap anymore. Cost me nearly eight quid at the weekend.

Honestly. At the risk of sounding like a professional northerner, you’ll never be more homesick in London than when you’re eating a pie. And the liquor is basically pea wet if pea wet tasted of absolutely nothing.

I actually ate pie and mash on Saturday, it having been so long since I last ate pie & mash that I had forgotten it tasted of absolutely nothing.

It was quite possibly the same men!

Nooooooo. Well I reported it with very detailed descriptions and exact timings for CCTV. Doubt anything will come of it, but I tried!
