I had my βΉοΈ moment last week (IOS). Folks in the PUI channel of NewPI slack are curating a google sheet with data on when peeps applied/heard back over the past few years.

"Model" can be interpreted broadly but looking for taxa that:
1) have an active research community
2) some combo of a genome, life cycle, culture.
Right now we're considering organisms that already have extensive mutant libraries and/or CRISPR working in the system as "developed" models

I'm interpretting emerging pretty flexible. Maybe a genome or (partial) life cycle. As long as there's a semi-active research community (don't want peeps picking an organism that isn't being published on).

Right now enrollment is at a whopping 77 (π«£) so I'm looking for 20-25 'emerging' model organisms to provide as options for the final project. 'Emerging' can be interpreted broadly and can include any phyla (the weirder the better).
