I get a lot of random spam submissions to my jam as well... you can actually ban them from the jam, though it's a bit hidden in the jam options. Then again, nothing is keeping them from just making a new account and doing this spiel all over again 😔

More on this btw. Potential way to kick it from your servers.

Oh man, sorry you have to deal with that too :( I hope itch can ban that ip adress or something. There's definitely a lot of children of itchio, and I'm afraid they may not have been taught proper internet safety and end up clicking on those links...

Tldr; depending on the type of game, silent playthroughs can be great accessibility tools but let's players should 100% respect devs boundaries around them. (4/4)

That beid said, when it comes to story heavy and esp. paid games I completely agree with you that people shouldn't make silent playthroughs without permission. I do think they are a luxury so a silent playthrough should be up to the dev to distibute if they wish to, possibly monetary. (3/4)

There are other accessibility reasons where it's physically harder for someone to game or they don't own a pc. Of course it's still up to each dev to define their boundaries for these things, but it might be good to consider uploading silent playthroughs yourself if you're able to! (2/4)

This is an absolutely valid take, though the way I see it silent playthroughs offer another way to experience the game for people who othervise couldn't; For example, some people love experiencing horror games but are too scared to play them themselves. (1/4)

(basically during the common event that teleports you to the game, I accidentally put another common event that teleports you to the desktop first, which must have canceled out the other teleport sometimes)

Oh 100%. At this point, I've started putting the most important information first thing on the page, in hopes that they read it by accident ðŸ˜

There are other features and additional endings I want to add once I'm allowed to again, but they will be mostly second playthrough kinda secrets, so don't worry about missing anything for now 😄 (also my semester is starting tomorrow so who knows when I'll even have time to do that lol)

I wanted to have a web version but I wasn't able to properly test it and with the page getting locked for an entire month during judging I simply didn't want to risk it. I will add the browser build after the judging period is over!

May I interest you in a short visual novel about dating a very normal human and who is definitely not planning any world ending mischief? 👀 There are 13 Endings so lots of choices with... interesting consequences to make! hatoge.itch.io/end-date

I'm not starting a debate with you in Lucy's comment section. All I will say is that I have eyes and most, if not all of the art on your games page is clearly generated. Don't bother responding, unless it's with a timelapse of you, your wife or your cat actually drawing any of these.

"No reason" my ass. I bet the other devs just called you out because your "game" is a bunch of AI slop. Keep to your own Techbro circles if you can't handle the backlash from actual artists furious at you stealing their hard work.

Not Eternights being on there 😠It had its optimisation problems, but it also didn't have anywhere near the budget nor recources as these other titles. It's literally a solo-dev indie project lol
