No photogenic pets this time, but this is what I've been working on lately to distract myself, so hopefully it counts as a craft:

I started that last month. Writing and posting.

I'm confused. Can we submit earlier than the open call, or are you reminding us that the call opens in April?

Isn't that like 1/6 of the state? Wow!

That makes a lot of sense. My Representative covers a smaller area than that and, back when I was in AZ, my Representative covered a tiny chunk of the sprawl, so I just assumed it would pinpoint your location better

Are you worried about doxxing yourself, even partially?

It's a cult. They are basically incapable of accurately evaluating him, and their indoctrination machine isn't going to tell them anything that causes questions.

Unshelled sunflower seeds work for me. Having to very gently crack them without breaking the seed is very distracting

Well, I mostly know him from comedy. If it's the same for you, perhaps it was your subconscious telling you that you needed to treat yourself to something that made you laugh or happy?

Have you seen this? They do a cost breakdown of how much homeless people cost the city and then how much it will take with the facility providing shelter, training, and care. It's a lot less with the facility.

That is super strange. It had been a pinned post about a 5 pack of books, but maybe I've been on Bluesky so long it glitched. Sorry about that.

Maybe a part of your brain thinks that he is starting to take steps to make up for how shitty he was in the past and feels that the action of redeeming his past actions makes him a better person than he started this year out as? Or maybe dreams are crazy.

Yeah. They are swamped, but they know (or at least the smart ones mst have figured out) that record attempts to contact them means a record number of eyeballs watching and judging their every move. So form letters it is. Not great, but theoretically less likely to piss people off than silence.

So FIGHT! Deny all appointments. Refuse any budgets. Be he sand in the gears and protect your constituents! Do NOT "go along to get along". You may not have planned for this fight when you ran, but you are stuck in it now. Do the job everyone hoped you never would have to!

We can. But first we have to come together. Our society has been pushing us to be "independent" and cut off from others because we "should be able to do it alone". We can't. We need to come together. One person is powerless. A movement isn't.
Don't buy into their narrative and give up

At least yours sent you a personalized email. Mine took a week to send me a form letter that applied to absolutely nothing in my email.
I just sent McConnell a post card thanking him for crossing party lines.

Mine was supposed to be about my writing and occasional nature pics. Instead, it feels like I'm screaming into a hurricane. Some day it will be able to return to my original purpose.

Comfort allows us to heal, and space to grow. It allows us to mature and refill our well so we can give to others. No one can live in survival mode for the entirety of their lives and, if you are dismissive of comfort and healing, I wonder what you are so afraid of finding in your self reflection

Then they can't really steal your story, can they? They can steal the basic idea, but who could replicate those characters or interactions? It's like Nosferatu and Dracula, Palworld and pokemon, or a good chunk of ttrpgs (like Pathfinder) and DnD.
Does that help with your worries at all?

In several key ways? In the themes you explore and the personalities of your characters?
It's hard to create sometimes. It's even harder to create in a vacuum. Are you making it harder on yourself because you think anyone can write like you? I know I've had that worry, at times.

I completely understand that, but even if you and someone else were trying to write from the same perspective on an idea, how can they perfectly fulfill your vision? Everything you are has given you your viewpoint. Do you think another can copy it so effortlessly? Or will their work be different

Have you ever heard of the Codex Alera? How Jim Butcher got the idea? Someone bet him he couldn't take a "lame" idea and make something great. He took 2: "lost roman legion" and "pokemon".
Everything under the sun has been done. There are no new ideas, just your perspective is new. Try anything!

I'm from tumblr, so I'm used to people misinterpreting things. This seemed a pretty easy mistake to make, and I have heard of a backup account they aren't using (altyelnatpar or yelnatpark or something) so I suspected you were reading fast and missed something.

Above all, do not expect a sudden epiphany or them to suddenly agree with you. If it's that easy to change their minds, it's that easy to change back. Remember: you are planting a seed.
And maybe read a few books on how to get people out of cults, because that is the headspace these people are in.

If they mention supporting veterans, maybe ask if they expected for Trump to cut off all funding for the VA. If they say that they expect he will create something better, maybe ask how that helps the veterans that are facing homelessness or a loss of medical care because of the "gap". 3/4

Will cause them to veer harder into their "us v. them" mentality. That's why the Mormons and Witnesses make people go door-to-door. It isolates them. Makes them feel alone in their community.
What you have to do is ask a question they will linger over. The kind that attacks at 3 am. 2/4

There have been overturned murder convictions because the police or detectives thought the widow/er wasn't grieving. People react strange ways to stress. Isolating those under stress is how you encourage the suicides of the people that are hurting, lost, and too scared to know how to fight. 1/3

Step into the battle later. There are sprinters and marathoners and we need both in this fight.
Cutting off those that are turning away or are overwhelmed leaves no room for new blood to join the fight when you are flagging. Also, forcing the ones fighting now to continue without respite will kill

You are cutting off your potential allies or long-standing frindships to appease your own sense of moral outrage.
The people dissatisfied with MAGA need allies to turn to, or they will be sucked back into the cult. Of those that didn't vote, or are too overwhelmed to fight currently, many will 2/3
