If you can find four pigeons with their breasts torn out, flung like graceless angels in the park blocks, you can get a free book from Powell’s.

Hope you’ve all had a good (weird) countdown to the corner of the year with us in the tower. Have a wonderful night friends of darkness, and good morning to the friends of the light!

Note: Found the DayJay, looks like the LTLN DJ found their common ground on Kraken-pop and are currently “finding their jackets” in the cloakroom, (KISS KISS KISS!) we won’t bother them unless something actually catches fire—sparks have been flying between those two all decade.)

The Cake seems to have wandered off, (possibly into the void) if anyone got any, I hope it was good!

For those of you who made it to the tower event space, congrats on making it past the defenses! Most of the cheese is gone but feel free to wrap some up to take home, the microtower centerpieces are also available, just spritz them lightly once a week and keep them someplace nice and dark.

Heres a classic headbanger from early November “Three kinds of screaming”.

(you cannot escape, you cannot get out) but at least we can have a little rager against the dying of the night while we’re here!
Looks like the Dayjay is running a little behind, so I’ll be playing the hits until they arrive, we take requests, as long as they’re pre-2025 we can play them on-air!

Don’t forget to write down your wish for the year and set it on fire, we’ll receive them by flame and read them on air.

The void is busy doing, something, I’m sure it’s important.
Please wear your best and most resilient outfit, preferably something reversible, for luck?

The later-than-late-night DJ is taking a disco nap before their set starts (last year they told me they decided Dayjay is their nemesis, because who doesn’t like Kpop? And let’s just say there have been some very tense handovers at the corner of the year.)

Go wash your hands kids, before the void tries to sneak off with one. We’ll be ready in a minute or two.

If you’re not loosening your belt and pushing away from the table yet, may I direct you to the smorgasbord of evening outside, where you may drink your fill of moonlight and graze upon the shadows of shadows, three (3) more nights to refill your cups.

How are you all my little night keepers? Little vessels of the twilight, have you taken in enough to keep you over the long months? Does your little human-suit overflow with stars and velvet until you may burst?

(it really doesn’t, please stop asking, void does not lean towards jollity when overstimulated and you may end up a bowl full of jelly, but thats a story for another season.)

Externally in extremely erratic fashion. I should post the rest in full. Ha.

let it play with the bones the squirrels drop in the yard, ask it about its hopes and dreams. Hold it close to your heart, because as you know, the night is inside every one of you, waiting for your stars to come out, gazing at your moon.

And fear not friends, even while the day eats nearly its fill of night during this time, night will still be there, just smaller, and cuter. Put a bow on it, swaddle it (like that lady with the chicken) nurture it, attend to its requests for the bathroom and snacks,

over the winter, spring, summer until the great clock flips, and the night can once again gorge itself on big chunks of day like a toddler shoving its hands into a birthday cake, happy birthday night, we’ll see you again.
