It has community labeling, so it already has tools to help with crediting artists and purging AI images. So far no ads
Maybe it will turn sour eventually like everything else apparently. But can we foster alternatives while they are still on the good path?
It has images like the ones on pinterest +community labeling -ai
I was somewhat okay with the fact that Pinterest didn't allow full-frontal nudity, but these past years it became increasingly puritan and has been blocking even covered bodies.
Pinterest has been useless because of how much unfilterable AI junk just utterly gunks it up even before this bullshit.
If you want to upload en masse your references it's probably better to wait for an automated way to do so
Also see if you like the vibe of the website first, if there are tools not working correctly...
I'll check it out later, thank you so much!!!!
Because if it's going through your pinned boards, I might just start pinning tons of slop to mess with them. I don't use Pinterest anymore anyway.
I am not at all surprised theyβve done this.
Canβt trust them for shit anymore
Just wondering if these checkboxes are used more as an excuse really.
I wouldn't trust that place to host anything at this point.
Why try to win these races to the bottom?
What is the prize?
"We're going to change the world! This is our biggest disruptor yet! We're going to 10x and wipe out oldworld competition! We're going to deliver 10^23 joules of value!"
The people who made those images can't possibly consent to their being fed to AI.
Bonus points, takedown requests increase Pinterest's workload βοΈ
"On by default"
Of course of course. Can't scrape the shit out of your data without making it on by default
inevitably all ai is going to end up this way when we cannot filter fakes anymore.
I use printerest as inspiration, as a "museum" with lots of rooms to visit because I am disabled and can't roam the world and for writing projects and it fulfills my "stamp-collection" craving without having to collect actual things in real life.
it is software and requires saving images to your pc to make it work (and have a pc to begin with, sorry mobile folks) but that also means it's OFFLINE and in your control

and they always turn it ON by DEFAULT!!!
