Even when you’re an ordinary citizen, this tactic is surprisingly effective.
Now, imagine you’re a Member of Congress.
You likely get through.
And if you don’t? You take the arrest.

You can’t just “pause” research. Animals need to be fed. Cells need to be cultured. Frozen samples need a constant supply of liquid nitrogen. Or it all gets trashed and you have to end the research or refund the entire project from the starting point, both of which are far more wasteful.

This is so true. We must never place our hope in those without virtue. Remember, a virtuous person desires what is right and does it easily, joyfully and consistently.
