The government could choose to raise billions and tackle inequality by taxing the rich. Instead, they're choosing harmful cuts. Help us change their mind! Tell the government to tax the rich: actionnetwork.org/pe...

Huge win! Government announces plans to open up the Land Registry. If delivered, will finally reveal more about who owns land in England and Wales. Read my blog post for more details & how you can write to the Minister to make sure this now happens: whoownsengland.org/2025/03/06/h... 🧵1/

Would you like one of our activists to give a talk at your event, or take part in a discussion or debate you're organising? We've got experienced campaigners who are trained speakers, ready to make the case for Proportional Representation. Get in touch and we'll arrange it! 📢

Young people speaking up

A lot of very rich people are still wrongly assuming that they will be fully insulated from the deep social dysfunction, economic collapse, and rising authoritarianism being ushered in by Trump. They won’t—but it currently looks like they’re willing to find that out the hard way.

It really is that simple. We want Proportional Representation because we believe that, in a democracy, nobody's vote should be more or less important than anyone else's. Makes sense, doesn't it?

"Some random country that hasn't fought a war in 40 years..." Over 500 dead British and French personnel (more than 1,000 total European fatalities) and c10,000 injured in Afghanistan 2001-2021. The only time Article 5 has been invoked. 'Disrespect' does not reside in lack of a suit, Mr Vance. ~AA

By suspending all military aid to Ukraine, Donald Trump has humiliated the people who pretended he was a reliable ally only in search of peace. The UK and Europe must seize frozen Russian assets to resist Putin’s unjust and savage war.

Yep.

Agincare!! How can a care business associate itself with this hateful bilge?

Democracy works best when everyone gets a seat at the table. Young MVM Ambassador Amelie Abass spoke to @youngliberalsuk.bsky.social Chair @harveyj.bsky.social about the importance of youth engagement in politics and campaigning for PR across political divides. 🎥 WATCH HERE: youtu.be/LE7rLgzLfg4

If there's an issue where they see British voters are unified, they'll generally seize on it, despite their daily and appalling rightwing nonsense. This is the Mail sniffing which way the wind is blowing in the UK.

Please share. 🙏🏻

So, Daily Mail, if we should now stop the bully Trump from having a state visit, what other policies and ideologies should we now reject in light of Trump being Putin’s useful idiot?

This helps. And I bet you it really upsets them. youtu.be/CUpOMSJ1MdU?...

Every single one of the Trump supporters sounds like a domestic abuser. "You should've let him hit you, you shouldn't have complained in public, you're never grateful, you never say thank you."

The central fact about Zelenskyy is this: He is very good at killing fascists. That is why Trump and Vance despise him. They recognise the ideological enemy when they see him iandunt.substack.com/p/some-dispa...

We should have a Royal State Visit for Zelenskyy instead, on a grander scale than anything the Queen put on from Trump last time round.

Ending the night with this. *Get your hankies* A D-Day veteran called a gracious and humbled Zelenskyy a hero.

If you’re outraged by Trump & Vance and want to *do* something… Join European Movement UK. The UK needs to get back to being a full member state asap - as Europe needs to unite hard.

Most important arrival on BlueSky for a while right here 👇👇👇👇

On Tuesday, nearly 200 people joined our call with Sarah Olney MP to discuss the next steps in the fight for PR. We also heard from the fantastic Livvy Gibbs from Young MVM about why young people are demanding change. If you missed it, watch it here: youtu.be/s2-VUqZCjUY

Looking forward to the @washingtonpost.com’s hot take on the Trump-Zelenskyy debacle. It’s all about personal liberties and free markets, remember?

If in the UK, you can join the Ukranian Solidarity Campaign here: ukrainesolidaritycampaign.org

Trump cannot be given a state visit to the UK. It should never have been offered. The invitation must now be withdrawn. You might as well hand it to Putin.

Look, obviously my emotional reaction to that press conference is to punch a wall so hard either it or my knuckles break. But let put that on hold for a moment and ask, very dispassionately and calmly: What American national interest objective or foreign policy goal was served by that shit-show?

Could not agree more. The Prez & VP are shameful, embarrassing Putin puppets & a disgrace to our country. 🤮 #SlavaUkraine 🇺🇦

Zelenskyy is my hero. A true anti-fascist. A man with more bravery and dignity in his other finger then most of his detractors will encounter in their lifetime

Withdraw the state visit invitation to Trump. Offer one to Zelensky instead. With bells and fucking whistles.

Terrific resignation letter by Anneliese Dodds, this.

The immigration figures for 2024 have just been released by the Home Office. There's been an 81% drop in the number of Health and Care Worker visas granted compared to 2023. And overall 37% fewer work visas granted. The current visa system clearly does *not* work for the UK.

Obviously.

Germany's elections saw a massive boost for the far right and an unexpected revival for the progressive left. The inequality that led Germany here is similar to our own, so what can we learn about the future of our own inequality crisis? equalitytrust.org.uk/news/blog/fi...

Also, despite what Bezos says, the new Washington Post opinion section will not be devoted to the principle of "personal liberty." Will he publish columns supporting the "personal liberty" to join a labor union. Of course not The new opinion section will advance his personal business interests.

"Like many minorities, LGBTQ+ people find that, under First Past the Post, the maths is against us." In our new blog for LGBTQ+ History Month, activist Katie Todd argues that our voting system is a barrier to progress. We need PR so that all voices are heard. 🌈

NEW BLOG: What can Germany's 2025 election teach us about voting systems ❓ Whilst British voters have become increasingly apathetic towards politics over the past 15 years, German voters are more engaged than ever before. Here's why 👇
