Using pronouns annoys people ipso facto pregnant mothers with HIV can’t have medication to keep their babies from contracting HIV. It’s just logic!

Give them orange slices. As long as they tried their best and had fun it doesn’t matter if they keep losing and don’t bother trying anything else.

At this point we have to assume Musk and Trump oppose everything USAID stands for. USAID funds programs and has a massive initiative to end child marriage. Epstein - Trump wants child brides to be legalized so Musk can have more children he ignores…with children.

They couldn’t risk angering the Cheneys and not getting them to turn out all those votes

He didn’t make them run a terrible candidate and support a genocide. Tammy Baldwin won by 29,000 votes as Harris lost by 30,000 and Ron Johnson in 2022 by 27,000. They picked up their 4 state senate targets too. And of course they crushed Trump in 2020 with Ben’s leadership.

It’s the bigger problem of a party that stands for nothing. Ideology, like caring enough to take over your campus or shutdown a freeway is seen as undignified. Lack of vision can’t be fixed by DNC Chair, but imagine Ben in that role in 2009 when OFA’s list went to DNC. Would have actually organized.

Nope. They had a candidate who actually has organized massive campaigns against the Iraq war, fought to stop climate change, and proved he could get out the vote in a swing state (WI) in Ben Wikler and they chose the corporate guy instead. Meet the new boss; same as the old.

Total deaths is far too high, but nowhere near “millions” and started going down last year, “The new data show overdose deaths involving opioids decreased from an estimated 84,181 in 2022 to 81,083 in 2023.”

Aren’t these “In-depth sidebars” on specific topics that are meant to showcase all the different areas that informed the setting of the clock (Climate, Biological Threats)? The first paragraph of the official statement is about nuclear weapons https://thebulletin.org/doomsday-clock/2025-statement/

The “But they couldn’t do anything!” argument is ridiculous, false. Biden gave at least 12.5B in 2024. They also gave Israel special access to weapons depots reserved for strategic deployment so they could kill faster. And then there’s Leahy law… https://www.justsecurity.org/96522/israel-leahy-law/

What’s strange is seeing the capitulation of so many sectors and domestically. I understand self-serving interest of Zuck, Bezos, etc. over monopoly fears, but don’t people get that standing up to Trump-types gets way more political capital than looking weak? (For counter - See: Biden, Netanyahu)

Weird that liberals weren’t able to elevate someone who could beat the twice-impeached guy who tried to overthrow the government. Keep doing you! It’s totally working.

Luckily, I have no followers on this platform so no worry that some DNC insiders will figure out that Ben it the Trojan Horse that could open the gates of the party to thousands of dedicated activists — people who won’t backdown when the lives and livelihoods of others are on the line. Shhh.

As smart (and funny as he is) he makes everyone in the room feel valued and heard…because they really are by Ben. He could easily make people feel insecure or afraid to speak up — he doesn’t. He’s just damn good people. I’m almost afraid to say, but Ben is going to shake things up in the best way.

My endorsement comes from having had a few opportunities to work in alliance with Ben on campaigns, and from friends who count him as a great friend and committed campaigner. Ben is passionate, smart, unceasingly kind, and humble to boot.

We’ve been like parallel forces intersecting at brief moments, but not the sustained movement we need to take on the injustices of the Right. I truly believe Ben will change that. And for those like me, who are suspicious of anyone who rises to high in politics - Ben is the real deal.

This rift started with the Iraq War, was mending during Obama ‘08 when so many showed up to build something new, but was permanently ruptured when Obama disbanded OFA and put the DNC in charge of the email list. We went from a movement to potential donors to be harassed by “Final Notice” emails.

Meta consistently prioritizes protecting and promoting the policies of the powerful over any duty of care to the oppressed. They don’t only cover for genocidaires, but built a business on promoting mass killing.

12) Meta repeatedly banned influencers and news outlets sharing content from Gaza while allowing 15 million Hebrew posts inciting violence against Palestinians to be shared across Instagram and Facebook.
