Placed a rose at the tree dedicated to astronaut Tom Stafford last week at JSC. That’s Joe Acaba, Chief of the Astronaut Office, behind me. Many other astronauts attended, including Jessica Meir (2nd photo). Had a chance to talk with astronaut Bill McArthur (3rd photo) before the ceremony began.

If you're in the Houston area, join me and 13 other local authors for book signings & readings from our books at the UH-Clear Lake Pearland campus Saturday, Feb. 15, from 10am-2pm. It's their Fall In Love With Reading event.

Today, for just the 2nd time in my life, my photo was on the front page of a newspaper (in East Texas). The story was about the event at the Remembering Columbia Museum in Hemphill, TX, on the 22nd anniversary of the Columbia accident where I spoke and signed copies of my book over the weekend.

Loved this review of my book: "an inviting tour inside the everyday reality of working at NASA" and a "light and fun discussion about the organization and the people that made it work." independentbookreview.com/2025/02/04/b...

Attended the tree dedication ceremony for Apollo 8 Commander Frank Borman at the Johnson Space Center yesterday and got to hang out with his son, high school friend Ed Borman. Also got to chat with Fred Haise and Jeff Lovell (attending on behalf of his father, Jim Lovell). #NASA #space #astronauts

I love that friends are reading my book on the beach - in the middle of winter! I suppose I can start calling my book a "beach read" now. #Bookstagram #BookSky

Featured yesterday on Meet the Author Monday with a Q&A interview about my new book - kellyschuknecht.com/2024/12/23/m...

Wishing Quan Cosby - one of my favorite Longhorns - a Happy Birthday! #HookEm #LifetimeLonghorn

Happy to see my new book at #24 on Amazon's Best Sellers list in the Astronautics and Space Flight book category. Four book signings scheduled over the next 2 months. One is private, one at the Remembering Columbia Museum, one at Space Center Houston, & one at the Lone Star Flight Museum.

Attended the Expedition 71 crew debrief tonight at Space Center Houston to hear the astronauts (L to R - Jeanette Epps, Matthew Dominick, Tracy Dyson, & Mike Barratt) talk about their recent stay on the ISS.

Registration opened today for the next #NASASocial - to experience the launch of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-10 Mission (targeted for no earlier than February 2025 at KSC). Registration closes at 10 a.m. EDT on Monday, Dec. 16. Register here: www.nasa.gov/general/expe.... I've attended 3 NASA Socials.

Since I keep seeing this pop up, I wanted to post a friendly reminder that there are currently no official #NASA accounts on Bluesky. If/when any official NASA accounts do join this platform, they will be listed here, where you can find a list of all NASA’s official social media accounts:

Show an unusual photo of yourself and an aircraft. Shuttle Endeavour (at Ellington Field on her way to the California Science Center) with the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft in 2012. I worked in the NASA office buying the Shuttle Orbiter vehicles (built by Rockwell International) in the 1980's.

If space exploration is my #1 passion, live theater is #2. I played Kris Kringle in a production of 'Miracle on 34th Street' in a production that opened on this day 5 years ago. A few photos from that show. I loved my elves!

Not gonna lie - my friend @lydiacornell.bsky.social (star of TV's 'Too Close for Comfort') promoting my new book made my day.

Had lunch with NASA legend Gene Kranz today at Space Center Houston. Also got to talk with astronaut Megan McArthur. Daniel Newmyer (interviewing Megan here) told me he plans to have a book-signing event for me at the upcoming Space Exploration Educators Conference in early February at SCH.

HOWDY! #Skylab is now orbiting above the Blue Skies. Welcome onboard to the ride.

Wishing astronaut Nicole Stott a happy birthday today. Hoping she joins us on Bluesky.

Was recently interviewed by @varmazis.bsky.social for the @tminus.bsky.social podcast. Enjoyed telling stories about NASA from my new book. space.n2k.com/podcasts/t-m...

Recently spoke to STEM educators & faculty at Texas State University about NASA. After the presentation, students enjoyed trying on the mockup Apollo spacesuit I brought along.

Just published my book (paperback & eBook formats) a few weeks ago - www.amazon.com/APOLLO-ARTEM...
