used to do a freeform show back when we had too many rock DJs at the college radio station and this got played a lot between West African guitar jams and Nahid Akhtar's 70's Pakistani film music bangers.

Dylan Carlson from Earth asked me if I had a light outside the show, and I had no idea I was making small talk with him (I loved the music but never really looked up what he looked like) until some fanboys came up and were all over it.

I am so past the point of "hurdurrrrr what a sellout" but apparently this is my line. This and performing at Raytheon-sponsored fundraisers.

I wonder if one of her neighbors called it in. That seems to be how the city comes out and does this (there's a couple of ladies who call every time another neighbor parks a car on his lawn)

I think way too much about how "24" manufactured consent for being totally open about torture and getting everyone on board with it on "the means justify the ends."

There's a Lutheran social services-run thrift store that supports refugee work here that a lot of the older do-gooder suburban church ladies donate to and oh do I clean up on very nice wool sweaters, good shoes, and vintage sterling jewelry.

same guys who think that getting a vaccine makes you undudely when like everyone who was in the armed forces in the 20th century quite literally had no choice but to get them.

Oh people are aware but they think they're going to be on one side but they're choosing the other? I'm not sure I'm totally making sense. Kind of like the people who talked about how they'd resist Hitler are doing the opposite now.

Like the accelerationism of that subculture wasn't "we join the worst people" if that makes sense. But the post cold war / 9/11 newer wave of charismatic woo woo types ran with the dominionist "God's Kingdom on Earth" thing and don't see all that end times stuff the way Hal Lindsey book-buyers did.

I get that people want it to happen sooner but also I think they thought they'd be resisting (this is based off like every movie I saw on youth group retreats in middle school where the charismatic world leader who wanted Christians dead was of course a commie) and instead they're venerating!

I know that "The Epoch Times" appeals and definitely caters to the more charismatic Christian types but I don't think this is a thing.

I am doing a lot of praying for repentance or deliverance these days.
