I still don’t understand why Democrats would negotiate a budget when the Trump administration claims unilateral authority to cancel any spending it dislikes. A couple of thoughts: - We already have a similar program, the EB-5 visa, but that requires investing $500k or 1 million in US businesses and creating jobs, not just buying in with cold hard cash. - Trump can't do anything like this without Congress. The president can't sell green cards. Period.

One of my biggest peeves is complaints that “nobody’s doing X.” First, you’re probably wrong. Lots of people are doing whatever X is—getting out on the streets, protesting, boycotting, changing consumer habits. Second, if you were right, you could literally do it. Be the first. Be a catalyst.
