And yet.... Our Midsummer get together has moved indoors.

Thank you Hank. I think I needed to hear that this morning.

Here is my favorite caffeine source! Good luck and thank you for all your hard work.

Thank you for your perspective. This was my first interaction with him and I have learned that the best way for me to get along is to meet kind with kind. I have had many flavors of Christians push their beliefs on me. One of the reasons I questioned it in the first place.

I agree. I have never been stopped by an atheist. Also, if someone wants to talk about their beliefs or lack there of they should be able to. Unsolicited pushy preaching is going to be met with me stating mine and informing them I have no reason to believe in their nonsense.

Later the party that asked found out about my lack of belief and confronted me. The person who passed was close to both of us. I replied that if their god was real, it should not matter if the prayer comes from someone that doesn't know. Their god should not take offense.

Same here. I found my reason, if someone is curious, I'll talk. If not, I don't open my mouth. My reasons for my lack of belief are mine. Also, I think there is value in cultural rituals. I have partaken in prayers for the dead simply because I was asked.

I can smell that picture.

As an adult looking back, I still have some of those attachments to objects and need to remind myself that it can be unhealthy. Think hording. There is a balance.

Don't worry. I didn't take it as such ;). Just sharing my opinion and having a conversation to foster understanding. I was also the weird kid that liked to collect craft pipe cleaners and had attachments to them like some Linus (from Peanuts) had to his blanket.

No worries just sharing why I have done it 😀

I agree, the ones that wear them at all times are silly. " We're rock climbing together, YOU MUST KNOW NOT TO HIT ON US!". You gave me an idea: I should get a rainbow one so the MAGA bigots I work with can't ignore it.

I am gay and married. I am not super pedantic about it. However, I have to travel for work often and have done mechanical jobs in places where regulations prevent me from wearing metal rings. It's a reminder for myself when I can't be home, that I am loved.

Really I agree. F**king Cheeto. Wouldn't mind coming up there to to get out from under them, but health problems prohibit it :/. My taxes have to go for war things and not medical stuff unfortunately.

I am glad it is garland. I thought it was porcupine quills at first.

Okay. You are right. I was lazy before. I sort of like my crappy doodle now. ;D.

Lurker here! Yeah, I scroll, get other perspectives. Usually don't comment because I don't feel I have much to say.

My husband and I have one. We like to yell at each other and say in our most Veruca Salt voice, "But I want my batteries now Daddy".

I am so sorry you are going through this. I am just an Internet stranger but DM me if I can help.

After having a hen for 29 years. I can see the old man energy in them. She was a good bird. I miss her.

This expresses how I feel right now perfectly. Thank you.

Indeed. I think I am going to need to take time to mourn, if that is the right word. Take a break from toxic family members. Then keep moving on.

This must be an offshoot of the Church of the Invisible Flying Spaghetti Monster or Pastafarianism! Full disclosure: I have been touched by his noodly appendage.

I could use some cake to get me through it. ;)

I think they are naked ladies. They are so called because their leaves die back before they bloom.

This post reminded me that I need to support you on subscribestar. Thank you for your art!

We have the opposite problem here in Nevada. I got a few good blooms this year from mine but I got a few that were fried in the full sun. I will be moving them back my shaded area for next year.

Thank you so much for sharing. I am quite masculine myself and was assigned male at birth. That said, I had very little interest in sports growing up and as you put it they were hard and boring. Peace and love to you.
