UPDATE: Meta is continuing to censor anti-Musk ads. It has removed a Facebook ad calling for a boycott of Tesla, saying that it violates the company's policy on "unacceptable business practices" muskwatch.com/subscribe

GODDAMN I WONDER WHERE YOU GOT IT, DID YOU JUST FIND IT IN SUNNY TEXAS YOU PIECE OF SHIT??

The NYT is inventing experimental euphemisms for "racist" like Edison in the lab in 1877

what the moment calls for is fighters instead of gormless boobs who should have retired 30 years ago. policy differences can be hashed out later, everyone can agree that Musk and Trump must be stopped and democracy restored

I got hit on the head like Fred Flintstone and now I think I'm a Soundcloud rapper. At least until another blow to the head turns me into a racecar driver or French chef

the era of Redeemers serves as a useful domestic comparison imo

Well, for a start, it would make all the people yelling "would you push the button??" at every left winger look really fucking stupid, wouldn't it?

Hail to the thief. Stealing money from blue states, plundering our own country like it's conquered territory

fellas is it good when you fire 50k people when markets are already dooming

This is serious in that the UK law says Apple can't announce that this was because of the law. What's even more concerning is that Apple took this step, but NO ONE ELSE providing data services in the UK has done so. How many caved and built back doors into their encryption services?

blowing up the entire American hegemonic order for like 50 million a year in tribute, and probably not even that

Sometimes I think about how bad the risk management of Silicon Valley millionaires and billionaires banking at Silicon Valley Bank was. Then I think about how all they use margin loans to avoid taxes. Then I start wondering how much pain they can really take before their wealth collapses

“He’s running the government like a business!” That business? Stupid Dum Dum Shithead LLC

History rhymes encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/t...

Are we doing genital checks to get into the public restroom now, is there going to be video surveillance of us in the stall using the toilet, do we need a copy of our genotype on hand to check chromosomes?

Rip Keir Starmer Government, you were shit but what comes next will probs be way worse xx

What parent could object to letting this upstanding looking man inspect their children's genitals?

There’s not a word in this story about the corrupt nature of this dismissal. Not a concern voiced, not a question raised, not even an acknowledgment that he’s the president’s biggest donor and he’s acting as an unelected, unconfirmed tyro wielding unchecked power over spending and the civil service.

Trump's SEC and DOJ dismissing lawsuits against crypto scammers and Musk's companies is too on the nose.

Man just called Twitter the real world

lol come on guys

Virginia GOP in the midterms:

The great boobs-to-butts cultural shift beginning in 1992 occurred slowly but inexorably, eventually showing up in our capital markets decades later. In this essay, I will— www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

O/U on sex offenders?

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, Zelensky is negotiating with a very big card: 3 years of thwarting Putin's attempted conquest, at an immense cost to Russia which they cannot sustain. We can be confident Trump gets, at some level, how big that card is, because he keeps trying to weaken it.

Among the many, many hypocrisies of Shapiro as a free speech hero is that he went to Hungary to celebrate a government that bills itself explicitly as "illiberal" and has shut down entire areas of studies and universities.

where are those useless twitter files idiots i got a bridge to sell them

"Giving this guy $55 billion so he can have even more power to set himself up as dictator borders on treason." prospect.org/justice/2025...

I respect FIRE’s legal advocacy but reporters really need to stop using FIRE’s rankings unless you truly believe that campus speech is most free in southern states that have banned ideas and concepts from being taught in the classroom

I was watching a hearing on a bill to ban wind farms, HB2223, when one of the speakers made an outlandish claim, that wind farms exterminated animals on the ground as a way to protect birds. Long story short, she made the whole fucking thing up.

The last WI Supreme Court election saw the end of gerrymandering and hope for reproductive rights. All that could be reversed. This will be the first big race since the Presidential election. A progressive win will show the broligarchy is not inevitable.

Standing up to the authoritarian wave requires more than cheerleading for democracy; it demands making democratic societies more participatory, responsive, and adaptable at all levels, from local to national, in response to the societal shifts driven by the Internet over the past 15 years.

How you gonna make “this is your brain on drugs” ads given the price of eggs these days

elon: we are finally ending the $80 billion woke flu vaccine and giving people the freedom they deserve 6k💬 147k♻️ 1.1mm❤️ [post unavailable, click to see] grimes: please call me back it's about Xa-17cT he needs emergency surgery but the hospital needs your signature please it's important

I’ll say it again. There isn’t anything that the United States does even slightly well that Trump and the GOP isn’t going to try their best to wreck.

Ok I will admit this is one of the most intriguing job listings I've ever seen

Just an endless string of Nancy Pelosis begging the Trump cabinet to invoke the 25th amendment instead of impeaching him

Ah, Democrats. Instead of just doing the thing, they come up with some complex bullshit no one understands to substitute for doing the thing.

lol @mtsw.bsky.social 's theory confirmed. they're too ignorant to know bird flu kills most of them anyway

This is not about efficiency. Giving federal employees purchase cards saves money - it reduces layers of paperwork and red tape. Imagine running a business where you stopped employees from purchasing anything. The goal is to shut down government by other means.

hey @mattyglesias.bsky.social, the piece that you link to here — my piece — does not say that “all DEI critics want to reimpose segregation” and i would appreciate it if you didn’t lie to your audience about what my work says.

more like the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact
