You'd think saving babies and moms from dying would be a key initiative of a political party that claims to be pro-life and pro-family. Spoiler: their agenda isn't about protecting moms and babies. It's about controlling women.

The Trump admin claims this is to "comport with market rates." There are no "market rates." All of this research is being done via NIH grants because "the market" won't fund it. But it needs to be done. This is devastating to U.S. science, yet will reduce annual federal outlays by only ≈0.07%.
