The only problem with Highcrest is that many of the questions aren't applicable but I can likely come up with equivalents! Maybe I'll answer both...

I was gonna do my fantasy, but that's a great idea honestly. Might motivate me to release some chapters. 9 is in progress.

I totally agree. I would rather start with a small collection of assets done well than a large selection done half-assed.

Dumb reason incoming, but theaters are too cold. There are other factors as well, but I could probably overlook a lot more if I wasn't miserable the whole time I'm sitting there.

I was so fascinated by this fellow when I was a kid, and I got to visit the AMNH a few months ago and visit it myself. So cool

I miss when he wrote at least partially in past tense. He's one the best horror writers working right now but my brain just won't process present tense.

The youngest of my POV characters spends time trying to learn some of these songs on the violin. Trying to prepare this performance in time to debut for royal court is a big part of his arc.

This is what caused the explosion. These gods cannot interfere directly without warping reality, after all. When the dust settled, she had disappeared - not annihilated, but having been taken away to the afterlife as a minor goddess herself. A side character in the MS worships her.

They fell in love. He didn't offer her equality in the mortal world, but he did promise a blessing if she would climb the highest mountain. She climbed to the top, believing she'd be given the right to carry and birth a demigod child. Instead, he reached down to the mortal plane to 'kiss' her.

a cataclysm which caused it explode into hundreds of little islands, which then drifted apart across the sea. This happened because a princess, outraged by an arranged marriage, turned to the same oppressive god that the modern human kingdom worships. She became the high priestess.

...is from a demi-human species called Salamanders. No, they do not resemble amphibians. I don't really have animal people in this setting. However, they do have cool eyes and fangs :D Anyhow, they have several kingdoms scattered over a sea. It was once a single large continent, but suffered...

I'm local to Boston! This is the most exciting thing we've had since Pokemon worlds a decade ago.

Dude has some drip. The hat is legit the first thing I noticed about his design.

So many people I know have had a similar experience. It's just one of those works, you know? It's not gonna be for everyone and it's not perfect, but there's a reason it comes up in so often.

Absolute masterful world building, for one thing. So worth it.

I'm somewhat hoping that I can gather myself for my next school break and get back into it. That same logic works the other way...Once I'm back, I'll be back. This last break took me on a road trip, which is not ideal for writing but was quite fun at least :)

I did this for years. I kind of feel like not doing NaNoWriMo this year really kneecapped me. I didn't rely on it for all of my writing, but I was devoted to winning every year so even when I was in a slump the NaNo months would 'reset' me. Good times.

100% true. But sadly, we're closing in on six months. I know myself well enough to know that if I don't get it back soon, I might not.

I'm forced to consider my physical health. I'm getting older, and my bad sleep hygiene and desire to eat plain rice for every meal is catching up to me. I've been working on those for a while, slowly....But I'm still tired. I'm not sure what the point of this post is, but there ya go.

that he let his kingdom rot. His son grew up angry and recklessly determined to do WHATEVER it took to create stability, and previous threads show the outcome. Unfortunately, the traumatized generation before is willing to overlook stuff and/or drink a lot of koolaid to avoid another civil war.
