Dems didn't and don't need to be 'pro crypto' per sé. But right now they're seen as anti-crypto. And there is a distinction. This is bad politics and probably bad policy.

Keep in mind, like Mark pointed out, the crypto community is skewed young and male. It'd bet a majority of them voted for the first time and do not have a party allegiance.

Engagement and discussion with voters is how you get votes and win elections. And Dems didn't do a great job with crypto.

Both. It's part Rs telling people in crypto what they want to hear (like building a Bitcoin reserve) which is what all politicians do to some extent. And also partly that the Dem admin fumbled the ball and alienated people Somewhat biased article on 'their pov' cryptonews.com/exclusives/g...

If you say so

Ok. But they won. That's what Mark and others are trying to point out. It might be worth listening.

Not true. No one is a single issue voter until one party makes them one. Gensler (and by extension Dems, fair or not) alienated the crypto community. This made it easier for Rs to be the "better" choice by comparison for some of these voters.

Yes, unfortunately. Now replace 'the crypto community' with 'Americans'

Bottom line is simple. Rs convinced a lot of people to vote for them for different reasons. And crypto is absolutely one of those reasons. www.forbes.com/sites/digita...

It's pretty easy to look this stuff up. And this is two years old!

Not hindsight, this was said plenty in the crypto community.

If you follow crypto you 100% know who he is. It's all anyone in crypto is talking about right now on X.

So true. No one turned out to vote for Dems because they wanted an end to crypto. But hundreds of thousands or more voted Republican in favor of crypto as one issue voters. Dems lost votes on this issue while gaining none.
