The problem with telling people to just help pre-existing tournaments is it's comparatively more boring. You're not making decisions, you're usually volunteering to do the busywork. You might not get much recognition. It's important work, but it's not attractive at all. But then make that IRL...

I think the secret solution to the "too many tournaments!!" thing is try to persuade eager new TOs to help with LANs instead of online if they can. Hosting things in real life seems more intimidating at first and could probably be demystified a little

Very hard for me to believe I only started TOing this year (alongside everything else that's changed in my life since February). It's been a busy one. I'm probably only doing charity stuff for online tournaments from now on but hoping to work on some LANs in 2025!! Happy New Year everyone 🎉
