Not really, 100 years ago women were not allowed to vote. Before that, they could not own property. It really is getting better, but it is hard to explain to someone who is clearly ignorant. It would be better if you looked at what women's rights were 90 years ago, lies like that won't help.

I fully support women in their fight for equality. Everything's NOT perfect, just that that it is getting better. and it is way better than it was even just few years of decades back.

In liberal democracies, people have tools to enact change peacefully, making revolutions unnecessary. Revolutions arise where freedoms are restricted (e.g. limits private ownerhip), in 19th-century Europe or during the Iron Curtain, where economic hardship and repression led people to demand liberty

History shows that no progress can be made if you take away people's motivation. Our present reality is that humanity has never been doing better. We now enjoy the highest standard of living in history. There've always been a lot of things that needs to get better but otherwise...

Commrades, please...stop... Living under the Iron Curtain would teach you that forced wealth redistribution leads to conflict. People won’t give up their hard earned money willingly. History shows such systems end in violence. Real progress comes from fair opportunities, not forceful control.

The chart shows like 50 years but whatever. I wanted to explain why you can't judge trends based on just one year—you miss the natural market cycles that play out over time. I was not successful to explain, but I am stil fine. Have a good day.

To put that in context, this chart shows semiconductor revenue, which is literally the most important thing in terms of human technological progress, and as you can see, even that is not growing every year. You would not say that the semiconductor business is doing badly, would you?

It is absolutely normal that such periods occur. Every industry has experienced this at some point. In the long term, the growth is exponential. www.weforum.org/stories/2022...
