I had not heard of Nick Turpin's project before this, but this statement is rather narrow and defensive against allegations of intentional copying of Turpin's photographs. A more generous response might have been more effective. Standing on the shoulders of giants perhaps?

I don't think so - they'll have to reopen it safely and as the wall is Grade II Listed it will have to be repaired to its former state. That might take a while ...

My understanding is that they are only taking down the tree that was damaged by the others hitting it. I was told all the trees had passed a safety inspection in July.
